As the Peugeot team remains standing firm with their media ban, witnesses have alleged to have overheard Peugeot driver, RJ, publicly damning the 307 in conversation with a fellow companion.
With language not suitable to be published, it was obvious that the driver was unhappy with the team's overall performance, despite finishing sixth in Telstra Rally Australia.
The conversation took place at the airport lounge of the Perth Domestic airport. RJ was on a quick flight to Sydney to see family and friends before heading off for the remaining legs of the RFC season.
"RJ was looking forward to go back to the southern suburbs of Sydney and catch up on the latest AFL, NRL and V8 Supercar results", claims one witness, "...but he also criticised the performance of Peugeot and is contemplating a team change after the Group B RFC Season."
RJ is expected to leave Sydney on Wednesday.

*DAY 1* Rally New Zealand got off to a great start with Curt setting the fastest time along with Matt and Vivski. Danii and R83 were the next fastest. Danii is sure to be out proving a point that she is on equal terms with championship leader Curt. EvoSpi struggled on the stage. His early speed has taken a backseat as of late. Hopefully the Kenyan can make a come back. *DAY 2* Day 2 of rally New Zealand would hold some challenges as rain had soaked the stages. Vivski lost his hold on the lead when he spun on the stage and finishing the stage way down the leader board. R83 did well though finishing the stage with the fastest time bumping him up to 2nd overall. Curt continued to drive well and maintained his hold on 1st place. The championship leader looking good for a win. RedBull's James was the surprise of the day when he took 3rd place from Nick who rolled on the stage putting him out of the rally. *DAY 3* Day 3 was one of heartbreak for rally leader Curt. While negotiating a gate he lost the tail, wedging the Impreza between the gate posts. After freeing the Impreza the damage was so much that Curt was unable to continue. A great effort by Curt either way. Lita surprised everyone by getting the fastest time, but it wasn't enough to make up for the previous days. She finished 10th overall. Danii did well though and got 2nd place, at least something good for the Subaru team. R83 also showed that the RunX was a true competitor by bringing home 6 points. Nicole surprised many by taking her 2nd win after a very lackluster season. The Ford team doing well with both drivers scoring points

*Post Rally: Who will be crowned RFC champion?* After a nail biting rally New Zealand Curt managed to hold on to his lead in the championship(even if its only by one point). The favorites for the title are Mixa and Curt. They have been trading places over the last couple of rallies. Lets not forget the other drivers though. Tumbo who has found some speed as of late has jumped up the leader board and is only 3 points behind the rally leader. Vivski is also a driver that can definitely win the championship as he has shown he has the speed and came very close last year in his Suzuki. Drivers that could win the championship: Matt Mixa Curt Nick CFinch Vivski Tumbo Also lets not forget the small issue of the manuf. championship. This is also a hotly contested championship that each team wants to win. Citroen look to be the favorites but all the teams(except for OMV-Peugeot and Stobart-Pirtek) could win the title.
Rally GB will reveal all! Stay tuned...

*Report*
I'm disappointed with myself after a spin on Stage 2 lost us a lot of time and if you look at the time set by my team mate if we'd of matched him on SS2 we'd of finished 2nd overall. Still it shows the promise of the car for the rest of the season and hopefully next season as I'd like to stay with the team and develop the car. Hopefully I can get a good high points finish on my home event to end the season on a high note.

The speed just wasn't there for us this rally. Hopefully we can work out where we lost time so we can put in a good performance in GB. Congratulations to Nicole on another well deserved vicotry.

I was hoping for something good this time but it was not to be. On day 1 it was a fuel starvation problem which was hard as when slowing down for a tight bend I wasn't sure if we had enough power to get out of them. During the night the problem was fixed and I set about to a mid rally charge to get points. The fuel problem returned again and we turned the rally into a test session. Although down on power we tried out new suspension and tyre settings for the rest of day 3. I think we made a few gains during the rally.

Only 4 points off the manuf title now, and a couple of wins (Aus and GB to come, yes?) could well give me the drivers title

Will become intresting season finale. I am looking up to it and there 2nd on the road isnt so bad. I see a good change of winning there and taking the manufacturers title also. I will be giving the best shot I can but the competitors are so tough and this isnt my home rally. I have had too many accidents this year and I really hope to take out the title.

*PEUGEOT SPEAKS* Media ban on Peugeot drivers now lifted for Rally GB. RJ "It's great being no longer silenced!!! With the last rally coming up in Wales, I'd like to say that it's been a very eventful year in my first full season of RFC. I always expected the first season to be quite tough. The RFC, of course, is the pinnacle of Rally; maybe excluding the annual Dakar. The season started quite well for me. A podium and a few minor points here and there. I would have liked that form to continue but the car just didn't have the goods. I think the whole team was affected by the departure of Igor but the injection of SWolf certainly gave the team new life. So one more rally to go. My aim is to finish on a high note before we start preparing the Group B cars. If there's anything this team needs, it's continuity so ideally, we'd like to have the upper hand coming into the Group B season."

*PRE RALLY* Rally GB, the final rally of what has been a great year. We have seen the ups and downs of teams and drivers alike. Amazingly neither the D. nor Manuf. title has yet been decided. This rally is it for the drivers. No second chances are allowed here as the drivers will have to drive like they have never driven before. Another thing added to the equation is the return of former rally champion Colin McRae. Colin has won this event before and will be one to watch as he competes in his McRae Motorsport Impreza. *DAY 1* The drama started before the rally even began. Last minute checks by the FIA found the water pumps in the Lancer's to not conform to FIA/RFC regulations so they were disqualified. A huge blow for a team that had a shot at the D. title. The action did get underway finally with Tumbo and C. McRae tying for the fastest time. Spins though held a few drivers back as they struggled with the wet conditions. RJ, FTRS, and Nicole had a lot of catching up to do. *DAY 2* RJ showed that he was out to master the British country side as he set a good time, though he still had a lot of catching up to do. FTRS also was on a mission and was now equal with RJ. RedBull's James stayed out of trouble and managed to take 3rd place. C. McRae continued his stunning place but dropped to 2nd place. Rookie SWolf slipping under the radar took a surprising 1st place. A great rally so far for the rookie. Down the leader board Nicole still struggled in her Ford as did Mixa. *DAY 3* Day 3...the last day of the season. With emotions running high, anything was possible. Colin McRae crashing out you say...well yes that to! With only 2Ks left Colin left the road hitting a parked car. His rally coming to a VERY disappointing end. It wasn't bad for all though as FTRS pulled out yet another stage win, this time he didn't have to share it though. Just one second behind was championship hopeful Mixa who was holding nothing back in his C4. Unfortunately a win was out the question and he finished a disappointing 13th. And what about championship leader Curt!? The Subaru driver certainly not having much to shout about in this rally but he still manged to bring home his 1st title as non of the championship hopefuls were able to bring home enough points. An amazing championship win for a man who hasn't won a rally all season. With both of the RedBull drivers scoring points, the manuf title was guaranteed. A great team that over came its problems in the start of the season. Lets not forget the rally winner Mitch. He drove a brilliant rally, allowing the Aussie to show all the Brits(and Scots) how its done! What an amazing season that kept the fans on the edge of their seats to the very end! Until next season, we bid you farewell!! Awards: Driver of the year: Curt Team of the year: RedBull Skoda Comeback driver of the year: Tumbo Comeback team of the year: Skoda Rookie of the year: SWolf Most teams driven in one season: R83

That was a great season. So close between Mixa and I in the last two rounds. Thank you for organising another RFC season Gren, and also congratulations on reaching the 1000 post mark .
