Quote from Tumbo
"While i'm gutted for Lita this is a fantastic result! Skoda have really pulled it all together since the start of the season, when we push hard the car responds well and just holds the line like nothing else. While transmission troubles were unfortunate and the car could easily have topped the timesheets i'm overjoyed with another podium. Hopefully we can grab a win soon, and with the latest developments the car has the ability to match the leaders. I'd like to dedicate the podium to my lead engineer. His work has given us the speed required to fight it out to the end of the season. 11 points is a bit to catch up but we will fight out the season"

heh,I saw I won and is leading the championship. That isnt a good place to be as if I am leading then I am probably once again in trees or something,my nerves aint steel you know . In the photos I saw there is Xsara but as was mentioned I thought this was a rally with C4. Cant wait the next one. Still as I said I am happy. I wish better events for my team mate aswell as it has happened to be if Matt is doing well I am not and if I am then Matt isnt.

With only 3 rallies to go, it's not looking good for Ford. The manufacturer's title is basically out of reach and the drivers' champ is slipping away too. Vivski sits in 7th on 32 points trailing Mixa by 13 points. Kronos has been too quick for us this season.

Telstra Rally Australia is next! Interesting note: Every driver(apart from SWolf) still mathematically could win the championship. Granted that would mean a lot of the top drivers would have to not score but still its been a very close title race. Good luck!

Kronos Citroen:
Kronos & one of their drivers (Matt) are currently in talks with other teams after both parties involved are dissapointed by the recent pace & results that the team have been having. It does seem that the contract at the team will be kept for the rest of the season however it may be possible for Matt to do at least one or more of the remaining events with another team.

*News* Nick McRae will be joining Toyota for the remaining rallies.
R83 quote: "I am excited to have nick as my partner and it will be really good for the team to have a 2nd driver's input."

*News*
After agreeing a deal to run a second Toyota for the rest of the season, a hastily arranged test session would prove to be a chance for driver Nick McRae to get to grips with his new toy.
"Seems a good car to start off in, very easy to drive and with it's handling you instantly knew where you were with the car and you feel in control of it. I've been getting a few set-up tips of R83, which has been a great help and it's looking to be a good driver partnership between us. Once I get a few miles under my belt and understand the car more hopefully we can both work together to make improvements and take us, the car and the team towards the top of the tables."

*Pre-Rally report* Toyota's newest recruit, Nick McRae, took an opportunity to come to grips with the RunX. Though he wasn't able to put in much time, McRae was said to be reasonably happy. Handling was to his liking but was unable to give us a real goal for the rally apart from experience. *Day 1* Rally Australia is a rally that about half of the drivers call home. Each driver wanted to do well on this popular rally, but only one person would come home with 10 points. Championship leader Mixa was 1st on the road and took the job as road sweeper, a job that is definitely not wanted on the ball-bearing like gravel. As expected he finished way down the leader board. The man who took the fastest time was Ford's Vivski followed by EvoSpi and FTRS who cam up with a tied 2nd fastest time. *Day 2* The driver who would lead the rally by the end of day 2 was anyone's guess. 11 of the top drivers were separated by a mere 7 seconds. RJ stunned the field though by taking the fastest time. James was going well until he rolled his Skoda causing him to retire from the rally. A huge disappointment for a team that is in the thick of the manuf. battle. Tumbo though showed that not all Fabia's crash and set the 2nd fastest time. Down the leader board Nick was really struggling to find some speed in his Lancer and Danii was also struggling with 2 consecutive poor tyre choices. *Day 3* The battle for the win was on! The Skoda and Ford team had both of their drivers at the top of the leader board. Curt was also at the top holding a joint 1st with Mitch. Mitch dropped down the list as he struggled on the last stage of the day. The Skoda team held their nerve as Tumbo and Lita set the 1st and 2nd fastest times respectfully this giving Tumbo the win with Lita in 2nd place. Curt also did well and got 3rd overall, a great boost for his title hopes as he takes the lead once again. Down the leader board, R83 rolled as he missed a braking point. New boy McRae finished a respectable 10th in his 1st outing for Toyota.

R83 Quote "Not the best rally for me but I was happy with my pace. We were in the points until my roll. I was really pushing far too had and missed a crucial braking point. I would like to say well done to Nick McRae for a great 1st rally!"

Tumbo Press Release
"I have finally broken through for a win; and for Lita to grab second place is fantastic. The team worked hard and it was their effort that secured our first team victory. I dedicate the win to our team Principle Dr Jens Pohlmann who worked so hard this yr making our 2005 car competitive; the merger with Audi has been an absolute blessing. Sitting only 3 points off the Driver's lead is fantastic and I would love to bring more glory to the team but I have achieved what I wanted for this season. hopefully the roles can be reversed in the next rally and Lita can show her talents; having worked so hard with our car's setup."

A very exciting rally, although we lost ground for the Manufacturers title, we are by no means out of it. Me and James need some big finishes at the close of the season, so come on!!!

Nick McRae Quote: "Very pleased for my first outing in the car - gained some valuable experience and I've got a few set-ups ideas which I'll discuss with R83 soon. Hopefully these changes can take the car nearer the top. First stage was especially pleasing, being only 6 seconds of the fastest time in the stage. I'm also really happy that I was only 10 seconds of a podium in my first rally, shows promise for the future. Only downside was R83 rolling out, would of beena good team finish still - we have to give some other teams a chance now and again!"
