Welcome to the official RFC 2006 Season 1 thread. Here you will be able to follow 16 drivers, 8 teams in the hunt for the crown. *Note* Anyone is allowed to enter the season at any time. All you have to do is let me know who you want to drive for and what country you are from. If a 2nd person enters I will make them your teammate.

*Rally Report* A fantastic opener to what is sure to be a great season. The Eddie Stobart team suprised many by taking 2 podiums. Kronos Citroen also took a podium and the initial lead into the Manuf. chase. Lower down the leader board Mitsubishi and Red Bull struggled through the rally and failed to get any points. Driver Tumbo was almost clear of the last stage when he misjudged a braking point sliding off into the scenory.

**Mitsubishi Report** What a dreadful start to the season for out Mitsubishi Rally Team. From wrong tyre choices to poor driving, we really showed that we didn't do nearly enough research and pre event testing. Hopefully we as a team can learn from this and make it up in Sweden.

Kronos Report:
Both of the 2 Kronos drivers had been doing large scale testing before the season opener and with that both crews did feel at one with the car.
Our result today did prove how much testing does mean to the final result and well + alot of luck with Monte.
Matt one of the teams drivers had this to say "Well what a brilliant start to the season my first win already a good improvment from a year ago. It was great to have both myself and my experienced team mate in the top 5 and hopefully in future event Mixa will improve on the at position. I am greatly suprised at the new Stobart team what a brilliant result for them - Steve Perez's VK Energy brand must be doing the trick"

**REPORT**
Stobart Ford:
Ohh Yeah! What a fantastic start to the season! Big well done to FTRS and the team for a great run! Both of us were off yes pace on SS1 but I claimed a good ss2 time with FTRS not far behind. FTRS and I both set the fastest time on the last stage. Yes the VK energy drink does help!
Gren I do believe that Nicole and FTRS are Aussies! Not Brits!
In the battle between RJ and Nicole, RJ has taken the early lead. Who ever scores the least points e.g 1st = 1 2ndd =2 3rd = 3
So far we have RJ with 5 points and Nicole on 8 points

Team Czech Skoda
**Official Report**
Rally Monte Carlo has bought mixed emotion's from us this weekend. On one hand our team driver Lita finished the rally in 7th position-putting in an "acceptable" and solid result. Unfortunately our team driver Tumbo did not fare so well. The team was devasted upon hearing of his mis-fortune, and we will be the first to say it was not driver error! Tumbo had already revealed concerns to us prior to this incident about the brakes on the car. The engineers and mechanics took a look, and thought we had solved the problem-we clearly hadn't. The car was 'playing up' in the later stages of the rally and Tumbo was trying to nurse the car along-he did the best job he could in that situation. Both Lita's and Tumbo's feedback to us after the event certainly indicates that there is a long way to go here. Lita felt she was off pace and struggled to keep on the heel's of the big boys in the slippery, icy conditions. She also complained about gearbox issues mid-way through, and this has now become a priority issue for us to sort out. From all this we can establish that not only was our tyre choice incorrect at points, but the car set-up needs further work; we have a long way to go.

OMV Norway Rally Report- Round 1
RJ
"From the looks of things, we are going OK. Coming in at 5th and 7th in the first rally is not so bad. Things could have been worse...
The weakness of the round for me would have to be the surface and my inexperience. I believe I was too cautious on ice. I must admit, I don't handle the start of the season very well. Monaco is such as prestigious event, anything other than a finish would have been a disappointment for me.
However, I am pleased with the results. The car seems to be OK but time will tell if whether we're a mid-field team or genuine contenders for the championship. Igor and I will be working hard for developing the car for Sweden."

Our photographers caught some pre-sweden testing. The Ford is definately that of Stobart team but we are unsure which team the Skoda belongs to. Another picture just in, one of the work's Focus

Rally Sweden turned out to be a dramatic rally for some but a great rally for the Stobart team who have recorded their 2nd straight points finish. FTRS won the rally by a convincing margin. Kronos Citroen and Mixa had their share of bad luck when the Xsara's engine caught on fire during the stage. *a grainy photo taken by a spectator* Also the Ford team had trouble as Vivski went off the road. *crazy swedes in their t-shirts*

**Official Report**
Team Czech Skoda Team Boss:
After our results in Monte, we were definately looking at achieving a far better ending here. I can safely say that we have done that. The issues we had a few weeks ago were the brakes and the gearbox-both caused major headaches and seriously slowed us down. This time round, the only real problem's were with Lita's in-car electrics playing up-causing some confusion with the telemetry and data and Tumbo's steering; it gave him grief over the first day, before we were able to correct it. Apart from this, we had a relatively smooth run, but obviously both drivers were frustrated with the issues they had. They placed 5th and 6th overall and we are content with that for now as we realize we have a lot more work to do together-it's going to be a slow road for us. They have done everything we have asked of them to this point, it's really about getting the car's in shape.

Tumbo Speaks Out "I am very happy w/ the incar atmosphere. While I still can't believe how unlucky I was to lose it on the icy Monte stages (and so close to the finish too) I am very happy to finally get some runs on the board for the team. testing has been fantastic and the engineers really are putting themselves all out in an effort to get the team its 2006 aim of a podium finish. Lita has done an outstanding job pushing the car to the limits and getting maximum speed out of an older and still under-developed engine, congrats also for her first and the team's first fastest stage time on SS2. I look forward to the benefits our new engine will give us when it finally breaks free in Argentina. To the Red Bull Skoda team who were so negative in the beginning; better luck next time guys "

"From a solid start to Monte and a win in Sweden, couldn't ask for anything better really! I was really happy with the handling of the car, it just felt perfect, I could attack 100% and really commit to it. Unfortunately my team-mate Mitch had a fairly ordinary rally by his standards mostly due to his inexperience on this surface, but I'm pleased he scraped some points though. Hoping that we can keep up this momentum for the next rally."
