My tipping was utter rubbish.

Just a small remark about the penalty received by Loeb and his co-driver: The FIA reproaches Daniel with putting off his belt before the car came to a complete stop. Normally they should have been excluded but they eventually received a two minutes penalty. I don't write this message to put the penalty in question. I know security is the most important matter in motorsport. However, Loeb's puncture and penalty reminded last year's Tour de Corse, when Mikko had a puncture on the last day. I don't know for you, but what i see is that Jarmo Lethinen begins to unfasten his belt while the car is still running.... Was the crew excluded? No Did they receive a penalty? No Does it mean there's no risk to ride in a Focus without a belt, unlike in a C4?

This was one hell of an odd rally. I am really happy for Petter's result, 3rd in an old car. He is talking about getting into a 307, and this is a good time to do it, because he has some time to get it ready for Greece. He has done wonders with his Xsara, but to switch to a 307 would be a good move; although other people have complained about the 307 a lot. I think that Gronholm was one who complained the most of the 307 (or was it the 207?).
Ogier failed again, his effectivity as a WRC driver is lacking, I do not see why Citroen keeps him in their ranks. He is inconsistant, erratic at times and easily loses concentration; I think that it is time for Atkinson to step into action.
Latvala's win was a hand-down, I do not think thaty he won this rally by his own skills. Hirvonen is/was sick thus his concentration was off balance. Loeb was not ready for this rally. He wasn't 100%, too many issues happened, including his tactical stoping the car for 23 secs. I think that that was too much considering he had two cars to pass. So Latvala's win was not because of his skill at all.
That said, my tipping was bad too. But who would of thought that this rally was going to be as strange as it turned out to be.

With the penalty. The thing about this is, you don't want people driving along a stage without belts. But the absolute worst place to be while a stage is live is standing on the road!! So the sooner the tyre is changed and the competitors are back in the car, the safer the tyre change. Then there's Phil Mills loosening his belts to get the toolkit to fasten Petter's steering wheel mid stage. No penalty. Or drivers excluded for wearing the wrong driving gloves... when the co-driver doesn't have to wear gloves at all. The strange thing about the penalty to Loeb and Elena is that is actually seems to be an appropriate penalty. Is it possible that they got it right for a chance? I'm in shock.
