It will be interesting to see how the cars perform on the tarmac stages with gravel spec tyres. According to the drivers, the tyres are satisfactory for the job, just a little more sideways.
Drivers like Seb reckon that's a bad thing on tarmac, but for the spectators, sideways is almost always a good thing. ;D
No entry list as yet, but expect the usual suspects. Munchis are an addition with Villagra. But probably no Atko or Petter.

Petter will compete in Cyprus, and most probably the rest of the season.
It's very quiet around Duval..

I thought Duval was left disillusioned with his WRC career and was trying to organise something in the IRC?
Am I making stuff up again?

Indeed, Duval was planning IRC outings with Skoda, but as said: everything is quiet at the moment..

everything is quiet at the moment.. That's just Duval refusing to talk to reporters. He's actually tackiling the WRC, BRC, IRC AND BTCC!* *Not really.

I thought Petter was a go for Cyprus Sorry for the confusion guys. My bad. Ford are obviously keen to improve their performances on gravel. The team have just completed a massive six-day test in Sardinia. I can't recall any team in recent memory that have conducted a test that is more than three days in succession.

Now the only question remains: will it pay off? If Mikko wants the title, then he'd better start winning and Latvala'd better start coming second to him.

Tippings for Rally Cyprus 2009 are open now!
Extra question: Cyprus is the first of 4 rounds to be eligible for both PWRC and JWRC. Since there are only three competitors in JWRC: who will win the PWRC category?
Entries for this tipping round close on: Thursday, March 12th, 06h00 GMT
My tips:
Top 8:
1. M. Hirvonen 2. P. Solberg 3. J. Latvala 4. S. Loeb 5. H. Solberg 6. M. Wilson 7. D. Sordo 8. K. Al Qassimi
Scratch: P. Solberg Extra: S. Campedelli
