I can't stand this event. Slow, hot, twisty, car breaking and they have the cheek to not include the Safari for similar car breaking reasons.

They mentioned on the footage for Rally Norway that Cyprus will be mixed-surface. Is it going to be a true mixed-surface event or are there just some stretches of straight tarmac linking the car-breaking, rocky tracks?

I think day one is tarmac, then days two and three are gravel. I know the teams have requested that any mixed surface events run the tarmac stages before the gravel ones!

Well that will be interesting. Cyprus may not be as boring as I thought. Mikko wont have to slow down for road position this rally. This rally might suit Petter and Phil in the Xsara a little more than Norway. They seemed to really lose out on the quick stuff. Although I did laugh when they beat Wilson on a stage with a 4km straight in it. Cyprus is a rally Petter won in 2003.

I hear Dani Sordo isn't looking forward to day one ;D
Just had a quick look on WRC.com, day one is definately on tarmac, days two and three are on gravel. Hirvonen won't be anywhere near the pace of the C4s on tarmac to play tactics anyway! Think Loeb might try and win the event on day one?

Lets say by testing photos the tarmac there is bumby and could be like at the normal mountain roads but just instead of gravel are tarmac including a lot of dirt. Loeb has said in tests that the road became so much faster after runs and runs so Mikko might even have a change! Also this is the last event for Citroen with the Red Bull livery. After Cyprus Citroen will re do its brand and the company will change their imago. Im not sure is that good for the WRC and Citroen or not . When was asked for Loeb about that,he just said that for his doings it wont have an effect anyway.

Are Red Bull canceling their sponsorship deal?

Citroen have recently updated their logo, which might explain why this year's livery has not been to the paint shop since Wales. I also stumbled across what their new livery might be - if they change it at all or Red Bull leave altogether.

The new logo is nice. Only problem is they haven't updated the C4 road car with the new brand, so the car is still going to have the "sharp" Citroen logo on the front! I can see your picture being the livery Rob - looks abit too real for me for it not to be done! Two liveries in two years from Citroen!! If it wasn't for the rediculous steering wheel in the road car - I'd like the C4.
Also this event may see the first effects of unfit drivers. You can now only have four mechanics per car - but the drivers can help out. A big suspension or gearbox job could mean the crews have to work on other parts of the car - so only the real men will survive...

Elena would be reading the notes, aka. manual. Where is Chris Atkinson?
