Off to go watch the rally now Bye everybody! Have fun Will, take plenty of piccies! ;D No doubt, but it's his first event in a World Rally Car. That's just phenominal (Colin), incredible (Petter), awesome (Atko), how I say (Latvala), crazy (Ogier)! Haha! Very clever!

Go go go Patrik!!! You're great! If Flodin wins, it will be the first victory for the N14 Impreza, and this Impreza was built in Russia!!! Yeah!!!

Man, what a strange run this one turned out to be. Big crashes, Atkinson's mainly, Hirvonen's rolling and now Ogier whom had a very good run yesterday. Østberg keeps on slipping down the poles. Nothing is certain now. I never thought Matti would of stayed on 4 wheels so far, let alone be in the lead! Solberg is going pretty fast, usually he is 2 mins behind the lead, he is currently under a minute behind. What happened with PG? He dropped from 3rd to 5th and lost a lot of time. My tipping is way off at this point.
Edit: I thought Adapta was going to have the new Impreza body style? Or was it my imagination that I saw Østberg in the old style.

Ostberg had the new style Impreza I'm fairly sure

Ostberg had old body style. First had fuel pump problems thus dropping down positions, then he slid off the road. Overall I guess he had a good run. Feel bad for PG though, such a good run, and Sordo blasting through to 3rd, wow. Latvala vs. frost on day 3, that will be interesting; although with a Citroen on 2 and 3rd they do not need to really push too hard, leaving P. Solberg to push it harder to get podium... yikes, interesting in deed.

Two stages to go, and it's very close.
Latvala leads by just 1.4 seconds over a hard charging Loeb. In PWRC, a spin by Patrik Flodin has eroded his lead down to just 1 second over countryman Patrik Sandell.
Ford vs Citroen Finland vs France
Group N vs S2000 Turbo vs NA

On the penultimate stage Loeb won by 9.2 sec, but took 10 sec penalty for a jump start. He's behind Latvala by 2.2 sec now. This is going to be a fierce fight!

Wow, Loeb wins, what a legend! Played his cards to perfection, drove safely through the dangerous places and then gave it full beans and won it on the last stage. Even a jump start couldn't set him back. The man is unbelievable. And a flawless performance from Daniel Elena, brilliant stuff.
To Mikko... it's pretty staggering for him to go from where he was last season to step up and push Seb. He scored points in every single round and gave it everything on every rally. I couldn't believe how hard he was pushing when I saw him in Sardinia. Great season for him.
The battle between those two really made up for the disappointments of the rest of the competition: Subaru, Suzuki and Stobart, being largely uncompetitive.
One really promising thing is that the new breed of drivers have proven to be really quick. With Hirvonen, Sordo, Latvala, Atkinson, Duval, Aava, Ogier... it's clear that there's plenty of talent if they can find the right cars. Add to that the still passionate Loeb, Petter, Wilson and maybe the odd appearance from Gronholm...
2009 should be a great season to see off World Rally Cars as we know them. I just SO hope Subaru will be able to get it together and win a rally or two.

I couldn't believe how hard he was pushing when I saw him in Sardinia. Great season for him. Indeed, he's also the only driver in history to score points on every round of the season, although it was close on this last rally Here are the tipping results: 36 - Roo 34 - Vivski 30 - Nick McRae 29 - Luigi 28 - Hurricane 28 - Mixa 27 - mbmz3 26 - Will 23 - tfliprex 21 - Sarah 20 - Mitch 15 - wheretheendingstarts

What a performance from Seb. Congrats to Seb and Citroen on taking both titles. For all of Malcolm's tactics Ford have been left with sod all to show for it LMAO Latvala and Hirvonen pushed all year but were just not consistent enough in the end. Can't wait for next year, roll on the Monte!!!!! Oh wait.....

Organizers have removed Loeb's 10-second time penalty.

I'm back! Can I just say how hacked off I am Loeb won - I was praying that MY rally would keep him at bay! But anyway! Witnessed my first ever WRC rolls with first Hirvonen at Sweet Lamb 2 and then Atko at Walters 1. Atko's was bizzare to see, obviously running in the dark we could only see lights, and the cars run parrell (sp?) to the arena up on the hill before turning left and coming into the arena. So we saw and hurt him, the suddently we saw tail lights, headlights, tail lights a lot of noise then nothing! Caused a 40 minute delay so I guess by the end of the day the rally was an hour behind! I tell you what though, Loebwas lucky to get through Sweet Lamb 2 as well, just before the water splash there was a slight right, if he wasn't such a talented driver he may well of been off and out! Have got plently of pictures from Myherin 1, Sunday's Mid-Morning Service and literally hundreds from the Finish. I didn't take any pictures at any other stages as I was either too far away, or the viewing point that we reached wasn't photo happy. Unless I can take top quality pictures - I don't bother! These will be up over the next few days. Speccy wise today was a bit disappointing, didn't get to see any live stages, instead of going Port Talbot then Rheola, we went to service as we hadn't been then to Port Talbot, but the queue for the stage was at least 5 miles and it was full, so we turned around and headed to Cardiff. Friday was deffo the best to spectate on, the Sweet Lamb complex and Myherin was awesome. Saturday was ok, we were a bit late to Halfway so that was are fault, Resolfen had all the fun sapped out of it by the Marshalls though. We were stodd a good 10-15 yards maybe evne metres back from a straight section of road yet everysingle spectator was stood in a dangerous position apperently despite us not being allowed to stand anywhere else! So that was frustrating! I know Marshalls have a job to do and without them we can't have rallies but I didn't see the sense in us not being able to stand either side of a straight road and being crammed onto one side! I'll let you all digest that anyway, had a great weekend regardless and Daniel Elena smokes! Saw him puffing away after the autographs session, obviously stressful work. And finally to Viv, I was keeping warm but the hail and rain really did come down in Sweet Lamb and a wind that was hard to stand upright in! The hail was also hitting my face when the cars came down into the Sweet Lamb complex but I thought "we only get this once a year" so suffered the pain!

This is how Atkinson's car looked like after the accident. Unbelivable! Atkinson's cleared off the road. Clear visible damage to all of the vehicle. Flip
