Due to the rather wintry conditions (and no option to change or modify tyres to suit the conditions, thanks FIA you morons), all stages on Day 1 of the rally have been shortened on safety grounds.
SS1/4 Hafren Was 19.10km Now 3.67km
SS2/5 Sweet Lamb Was 5.11km Now 4.28km
SS3/6 Myherin Was 35.34km Now 18.28km

Wow, they were cut by heaps! I did see that they were shortened, but my own lazyness prevented me actually looking up the original distances.

But still big time differences, so maybe they don't need the distance. Mikko dropped a second per kilometre to Loeb on SS3.
Sebastien Ogier wins his first ever stage in a World Rally Car?! What a legend! Haha!
