No Mikkelsen? They are probably still rebuilding his car from last year's Wales Rally GB! Hopefully I'll be there all four days, I have got a plan of where I want to go somewhere but have forgotten/lost it

Looking at the entry list, Duval is still entered with Patrick Pivato. Now although Belgian co-driver Eddy Chevaillier is contracted to navigate for Peter Van Merksteijn Jr, Peter is not entered for this event. So it could be possible that Chevaillier will co-drive for Duval just for this event. A couple of noticeable entries. As has been mentioned previously, Sebastien Ogier will be a driving a Citroen C4 WRC with backing from the FFSA. Barry Clark will drive for Stobart on his home rally. Mads Ostberg is making an appearance in his Subaru WRC, as are fellow Subaru privateers, Eamon Boland and Gareth Jones. Locals Steve Perez and Dave Weston are also entered, driving Ford Focui. (I think that's the plural for Focus. ) Although I'm not a local, with the rally being held in December, is it a greater possibility there could be some snow on this rally? If so, it will be the second rally in a row where this has happened, making three rallies in one season where snow and ice have occurred. Quite unusual.

As Mr. Squiggle would say: "Upside-down!"

As Mr. Squiggle would say: "Upside-down!"...and just beforehand, Andreas heard the voice of Blackboard through his intercom: "and Hurry Uuuup!" ;D

Roo, Wales WILL be cold in December and it WILL be wet. So the chance of snow is fairly high!

Last round of the tipping, with a championship on the line...well not for me anyway. I'm certainly not leading, or coming second, or third... 1. Hirvonen 2. Latvala 3. Loeb 4. P.Solberg 5. Duval 6. PG Andersson 7. Wilson 8. Gardemeister (tips edited Thurs 13 Nov) This rally should be very similar conditions wise to Japan. Suzuki seem to have their reliability problems sorted, and PG was setting some cracking stage times in Japan. Given Japan's similarity to Wales, Suzuki's good result in Japan, and Suzuki's past experience on this event, a Top 5 finish is very plausible. Although the drivers title is sorted, the manufacturers title is still up for grabs. Citroen don't need many points to win, so the instruction from Citroen will probably be to get the points, no hero antics. So probably a Ford one-two again, but Loeb finishing on the podium again, and Sordo in the points should get the title for Citroen.

Good news about Duval: he will compete at the RAC!! From his website: François will eventually be at the start of the RAC, Denis Giraudet takes the place of Patrick Pivato who arrived today at the hospital of Lyon. "Yesterday I received many phone calls, Malcolm, Christian Loriaux, Dani Sordo, Daniel Elena, they all encouraged me to drive, and Patrick wants it too. Denis was a clear choise, he's got much experience, he's motivated and after all what he's done in Japan for me and Patrick, this choise is nothing but logical. Mikko will be testing saturday before the reconnaissances, normally I will be able to participate an hour or two, so I can adapt to Denis. At the moment I'm sure that it won't be easy, the others will start really fast to the finish, but I will depart at my own speed and then we will see." *** Denis Giraudet has been co-driver of Didier Auriol, Juha Kankkunen and Daniel Carlsson.

That's great news. Let's hope that Duval can finish what might be his last WRC rally on a high.
