Sometimes I wonder what terrorists are trying to achieve. My heart goes out to those affected.

It's really terrible this. So far they reckon the death toll will stay around 49, which is still 49 deaths too many. I have plenty to say about the all these terrorists all over the world, but this forum's no place for the kind of foul language those people deserve. It seems they've tried it in other cities too, luckily the attempts in Birmingham and here in Scotland (a controlled explosion was performed on a bus in Edinburgh the other day because they suspected it was going to be detonated with people in it.) have came to nothing, but I still hope any of you reading this from big cities in the UK stay safe, luckily I live in Greenock which is outside any big cities, but it's near Glasgow and sometimes I have to go into Glasgow seeing as I'm a student there, so I'm really keeping an eye out when I use the trains, lately I've been trying to use the Hillman as much as possible just in case Glasgow's the next target and the public transport gets it. Glasgow's a good strategic target after all, it's similar to London, in that it's the biggest city in the country (Scotland that is, just as London's the biggest in England and the UK), and it has a busy network of subways, train stations and buses. I really hope it doesn't come to that though. I had an awful dream last night that Glasgow got hit, in it I had been called up to help in the rescue efforts (seeing as I am a member of the St Andrews Ambulance Corps, although we were too far away from London to have got there in time, and besides that London was shut down almost completely soon after so our ambulances couldn't have got in, otherwise there were a few of us who really were ready to go down and help in the relief efforts, although the orders never came through, but no doubt if a terrible incident happened closer to home we'd be called into action, and I really hope we don't have to. ) In my dream we were fighting a losing battle, with too many causualites, even though I know in real life that I completely trust the skills of my colleagues and comrades from the corps, and I hope they do the same with me, but we've still never had to attend a tragedy on that scale, and I hope we never have to,

Some dream. I hope things turn out well for you. I think its doubtful that the terrorist will hit two cities, even Glasgow. I'm not saying it isn't possible, but doubtful. It isn't as big a city like London or New York, or other big cities. I don't think it has a big economy. Terrorist try to attack cities with big trade, and sometimes big population, or well known government. I wouldn't be surprised if they attacked Washington DC (which is right around the corner from my apartment), and I REALLY hope they don't! Anywho, I don't think Glasgow is of any threat to them. I don't think they are THAT desperate!.. even though they could be.....

And after this the ABC shows the interview with Basaev!!! Great! Until all "big 8" is united (I mean no double standarts for terrorism from the USA), we'll see such acts more and more...
