Looks like common sense is finally coming through. The road order rules are going to be reviewed. wrc.com/jsp/index.jsp?lnk=101&id=7394I personally think Malcolm Wilson is largely responsible for the tactics we see now. Judging by his comments in the article, he doesn't really care whether or not the fastest driver wins. You can tell the drivers all hate it. I think Citroen and Loeb only go along with it reluctantly. No doubt they'd agree to a gentleman's agreement not to use tactics if Wilson could bear to offer it. The irony is, Citroen are actually better than Ford at using tactics. Malcolm, no matter what the road order, Matty's not going to win a rally. Deal with it!

Yes, I dont like the tactics neither and them are ruining the sport. It happens after each day due to no gaps between drivers and even on rallyes like our Rally Finland on good roads it happens. Also still I would keep the WRC responsible for this due to them selection of events going with this rotate system. It has came more out this season as we have these rough events when the WRC could run on the best roads and just rotate a few events. After WRC came to 2 manufacturers, its been their playground and we are seeing the reasons now. Them only wants to win. There are junior teams but them are only there to help the manufacturer boys to get better manufacturer points for Citroen or Ford main squad or help these drivers Loeb,Sordo,Latvala,Hirvonen to gain better points. Ok tactics has been in the play already on the 80´s but since the rallyes were long and gaps were big it wasnt no where near this. Actually the tactics came in the play just at the end of 90´s but due to many manufacturers who were able to win it was far more better than these days. It is such a shame when at the 90´s guys like Sainz were telling to the media "how pleased he is to lead the rally and how it shows that them are on the good speed and capable of winning the event." . Leading the rally was a honor and when to guys were asked about the road positions them just said. "someone has to be first." By the way what comes to Malcolm and Ford playing tactics, Ford and Subaru were pretty much the first teams to play it out while Peugeot´s werent never too good on it . Its funny how sometimes the experience aint all what matters. but yes OVERALLY screw the tactics and let the fastest guy to win these events again. Unfortunately only way how I see it to happen is to change the rallyes more for what it used to be and kick off these bad rallyes, maybe leave a few of them but to make for days more complicated and forget this loop system ie. day1: superspecial 1,Rheola 1,Myherin 1,Rally Arena 1,Rheola 2,Myherin 2, Rally Arena 2,Superspecial 2.
