Ok Im a Finn and has always liked about Ari but it was so decided even before the election. Max Mosley was against Vatanen all the time and were supporting the campaign of Todt. He was saying even on the news how Ari will lose by a big margin and how he is going down!
Even at there. Todt and Vatanen had the speech were was given was it 15 mins. Todt talked way almost 30 mins and after 15 was passed on Ari, Todt said thats it and Vatanen didnt had a change to speak more.
Also many who were there like the Finnish organisation AKK and even a few others when the votes were published, them were quite devestated by the results as many said how half of the votes of Ari has been changed in favor of Todt so vanished to the air.
Of course the fans will dislike too but there are also the ones who were happy. Then again Full of Idiots Association (FIA) atleast got a guy who knows about various number of motorsports but my fear still is that nothing wont change, except FIA will still focus more and more to F1 and other sports like WRC will still be a test ground for F1 rules and poor decisions will keep coming . In the end people on Todt´s list were all guys who Mosley knew pretty closely.
Im still hopeful. As I said Todt have the experience for many motorsports. I really hope to see everything turning to better.

I loved that they mentioned on the F1 - "Max Mosely is now pursuing other interests"

David Hobbs and team here discussed that Todt wasn't going to be as involved as Mosley and that he might appoint someone (Mosley) to handle the F1 part of the FIA.

No wonder Mosley was so keen for Todt to get the job. It keeps him in a job too! I know a few people have said Todt will just be a puppet for Mosley!
