I'm really happy for P. Solberg, what a nice run he had, I sincerely hope he keeps as edgy as he is right now. It took me by surprise. I was watching the SS1 video on WRC and I noticed something odd. When all the Subaru Impreza WRC 2008 were doing the jump, they had a tendency to nose dive. Now we have discussed it before and many agree that the nose is heavy, but my question is: Why was Ostberg's jump was more parallel to the ground than any of the other Subaru's? I looked at it twice, and the all of the car's flightpath was completely parallel to the ground.

I haven't seen it, but it's probably his technique. If you gun it as you launch over the jump, it flattens out the car. If you brake or lift on the top of the jump, the nose dips. Or maybe he just had a few spare tyres in the boot. PETTER SOOOOLBARG!!!!! What a legend. Haha, I love it... Colin suggests to Loeb that he doesn't enjoy snow so much. He says "no, I always enjoy driving in these conditions, it's just that I usually end up in a snowbank."

The usual suspects are in the top four, two Fords and two Citroens. I picked it, just in the wrong order, for the moment anyway. Fantastic effort for Petter to be where he is, fifth overall in a car that's at least three maybe four years old. As is PG's effort in a four year old uncompetitive Skoda Fabia WRC!
Speaking of Skoda's, we saw how quick they were in the opening IRC round of the season in Monaco, well guess what's leading PWRC? Patrik Sandell in a Red Bull livery Fabia S2000, leading by two minutes!

What gets me is that first they lie and deny it all, and then afterwards they come clean. I mean, what do they take us for? It's like when Latvala, last year, that came to a full stop a few yards away from the finish line and then proceded to deny tactical issues. Ok, tactics are good, but to go to the extreem of actually coming to a full stop?! He should of been penalized for that. There should be only one tactic in the WRC: The less you use the breaks, the faster you will go. Yes, I don't like the misuse of tactics especially because how the Ford team dishes it out.

It just makes me respect Loeb more. He drove pretty much every rally last year from the front. And more often than not he won those events. He just drove flat out and no-one could catch him... that's how it should be.

And he pretty much dominated today So bad idea using tactics, Hirvonen!

The problem with the tactics is that when they work they are brilliant, when they don't you look stupid. Oh and another problem is Sebastien Loeb.

They both pushed like mad-men in Norway. And I have to say, what an awesome rally! The roads were amazing, the weather was spectacular... the only thing missing was Atko. I think we've just seen the two best rallies of the season. BTW: My star of the rally goes to P-G Andersson for his stage wins in a Fabia. Awesome driving! Pity the car couldn't handle it and lunched the transmission on day 2.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnwHBHcifkoI was quite sure that people would have shared this already down here. Its a funny clip about Henning getting pissed about the settings at Friday. What comes to P-G he driven superbly before Fabia gave up as usually. The active locks given him some help to be honest but didnt thought that he could win stages with it. Car is ex. Kopecky what Ive heard so its the last spec factory car with factory programs what was seen. P.Solberg didnt had a bad rally but as I thought before the event he might not be there. He lost most of the time at Saturday and to be honest it was either his setups or then the typical factory thing as Xsara was 20 km/h slower at the straight speeds than C4 and Focus and thats just impossible. Even Skoda was faster at straight speed! By my mind to be honest it just shows how important it is for the manufacturers to see most of the C4´s ahead of the old Xsara what isnt manufactured no more as a road car! We know that Xsara is quicker than that!
