I think Grönholm won't take the offer. Isn't he still working for Ford, behind the scenes?

Well he is an ambassador for Ford, but I guess it all depends on how long that contract is for. I agree though, can't really see him doing it. The championship may now contain less rounds, but I don't tihnk Marcus would be up for having to learn yet another car at his age when he could easily jump in a Ford and be straight at home!
I also heard at the WRGB finish ramp that Phil Mills is said to of had enough of competing and 2009 is their last contracted year at Subaru so it could be Petter's - if not Phil's last season! That's providing Subaru want to keep Petter. If Gronholm does go to Subaru I think Petter might get shown up...

If Gronholm does go to Subaru I think Petter might get shown up... However, Petter and Chris still have current contracts for 2009. I can't see either of them getting the boot ... but stranger things have happened in the past. I think Gronholm would like the drive, but he's not keen on a full season, despite their being only 12 rounds. Subaru want him to do a full season. I think Bart's right, I think Gronholm will pass on this offer.

Finally some good news: The Citroën Junior Team has been confirmed. Drivers will be: - Sebastian Ogier - Conrad Rautenbach - Evgeny Novikov- Chris Atkinson (only Ireland so far)SourceSo it seems very likely that there will be 6 Citroën C4 WRC on Rally Ireland I updated the fifth post of this topic, to meet the latest developments in the news.

Novikov? Nooooooooo!!!!!! Why that reaction, may I ask? I'd heard that all the teams had been fighting over him, and that he showed a preference for the C4. Guess he got what he wanted! I'm so glad Chris will start next year. Hope he can keep going.

NEWSFLASH: 8 Rallyes with the C4 for Atko! It was announced by Stephane Prevot .
By speculations hes pre-program would probably be Ireland, Portugal, Sardegna, Greece, Poland, Finland, Spain and Wales.
That would left the Australians a bit cold as he wouldnt drive at his home rally but its quite a possibility as the 2nd Citroen squad avoided last year the rallyes were a long travelling was a must do! Ofcourse Im sure that he can find a car to Australia anyway, even if it wouldnt be at the C4.

Anyone guessing that Petter Solberg's carrer in WRC is over? It seems that he is having a very hard time securing a drive.
