It just goes to show what a sad state of affairs the WRC is at the moment. Although Malcolm Wilson didn't go to the hospital, I understand that Matthew did. But it does appear that there has not been enough support from the team following the accident.

Why would I risk the life of another person and my own when we don't have anything to pay for a good insurance. Ford only lets me drive when they need me, but during this week, I've not seen anyone from Ford at the hospital. ANYONE! Man, that is cold! Wilson just gave a minor news cast of appreciation for the help, but never went to the hospital.. that is sad. And just to add salt to the wound: no insurance?!?!?! Unbelievable! Can Ford's behavior be any worse? Flip

Francois hasn't had a very good run with Ford. You'd really expect a bit more compassion. There are people involved here and this is a team game, that's what the sport is all about.

havent had a good run??
3rd at Germany,ok could have been better! but done what was asked. Citroen was just too strong and car wasnt a factory Ford!
NZ- off to 5th spot . As Dudu said it just gone off. Without that could been 4th in the end. I quess Mikko would have been ahead anyway for reasons. I say it was great performance anyway to be 5th before retirement at the first outing for a long time at proper gravel event.
Spain-came 4th. Not a strongest of runs but Spain hasnt never been a good tarmac event for Dudu. Done exactly what Ford was hoping, except the fact Citroen´s were too strong
Corsica-3rd. Given the spot for Mikko. After Dani´s problems he helped Mikko and Ford to stay on the fight! Important points to both ways.
Japan- horrible accident from 2nd place. Who would have thought that Dudu is 2nd after Mikko and just 11.9 behind. He was doing excellent job. By my mind in those conditions it could have happened to anyone. Them really were so bad. Luck just wasnt at his side and what comes to damaged car,it seems that Ford didnt learned from earlier accidents last year. When you look the body the bending is exact at the same spot what lead Mikko and Marcus to retire a few times.

I don't think he meant the results Mixa. I think it's about the relation with Ford itself.

There are rumours on Belgian rally forums that Patrick Snijers and Kris Meeke will alternate drives in a third Peugeot 207 S2000 of Peugeot Belgium-Luxembourg in the IRC 2009, next to confirmed regular drivers Freddy Loix and Nicolas Vouilloz.
Does anyone know more about this? From the Kris Meeke side then..

No idea about Kris Meeke, they want to be giving the poor lad Adam Gould a car instead!

You're right Bart, I was referring to the history between Duval and Ford where he started showing real promise in 2004 but was forced out and ended up at Citroen. Not sure what Ford are playing at, but I'd expect a little more from a top team. I'd like to think Subaru and Citroen would show more compassion.

Sick that Ford didn't visit Pivato.

No idea about Kris Meeke, they want to be giving the poor lad Adam Gould a car instead! Last weekend Meeke drove the brand new Proton Satria S2000 built by MEM in GB somewhere. You can youtube some videos... Could be his seat for 2009 as Proton is having a 2 car assault on Monte Carlo! Bryan Bouffier is pretty certain to be one driver but considering Meeke has tested the car on tarmac, he would be the front runner for the second seat. Been some rumours that Wilks is confirmed at a Subaru team but no official news. I must admit the IRC is shaping up to be a lot more exciting than the WRC. If they could get most of the decent drivers to every event it'd be a cracking championship. FIAT, Peugeot, VW, Opel, Proton, MG, Toyota... it looks the goods if teams like Grifone, MSD and MEM commit. Also fair share of decent drivers like Loix, Vouliioz, Basso, Alen with maybe Casier, Bouffier, Travaglia and more!

Just browsed around the web for pics of the Proton Satria S2000 built by MEM, wow... nice little zippy car it is! Not sure if yellow is the best colour, but hey, give me one of them for free and I would not mind even if it was pink! ;D Yup.. nice looking.

Patrick Pivato's last surgery was successful. Pivato will now start a 45 day minimum immobilised period, after which he can start his re-education.
