A year already, jeepers how time flies.
Since his death, two things I remember most are;
Firstly, how we had a book of rememberance on the Plains. Our location was high up in the forest and the book was in front of a stunning view of the Welsh forest/valleys in one of Wales' most challenging stages - Dyfi stages Colin always excelled in.
Secondly, in January, at the Autosport show. The 'Live action arena' always kicks off with the high octane review of the previous years Motorsports events. The video kicked in on the large screen to the sound of solo bagpipes with a picture of Colin and the words 'Colin McRae' followed by his date of birth & death. What followed was a fantastic tribute to Colin with high action videos and tributes from Nicky Grist, David Richards etc. But that first bit of solo bagpipes was incredibly moving.
I bet he's looking forward to watching the McRae Stages as much as everyone else.
A true, true hero who will never be forgotten.
RIP Colin.

That is an astonishing video. To see Nicky Grist reduced to tears really brings it home.

You know few days ago it was quite a hard day for me and yes I felt into tears when whatched all those memorial videos..I never wasnt a big Colin fan but I simply liked him,who wouldnt had? Its amazing to watch him in action and STILL even a one year on it sounds weird to know hes gone because he simply were an amzing person and a rally driver and still so much to give. I remember the day last year when I were at our vacation place and my friend sended me a message,I couldnt believe it,it sounded unreal and I simply felt that the world is a cruel place. Also the sad part is the fact he should have driven at Subaru this season as the contract was already done
