Hi, Anyone want to know what autograssing looks like ? I have made a small page up for my brother as he is competing this year in class 5 for Radford (also races at Evesham). There are some cool photo's and a few videos to download if you like. www.rally.smokiebum.com(on the menu - you will see the link to autograss) MarkP

This weekends racing was something else. We had some really heavy downpours (with hail) for quite a time which made the track into an ice rink, the cars couldn't even drive in a straight line !
My brother did quite well, he took it really easy and overtook a lot of the others as they spun in their RWD cars (he has a FWD MINI). He made it into the finals for the first time so that was an achievement in itself.
It was a very eventful day, one guy rolled his car a few times and had to be cut free by the fire brigade and air lifted to hospital. He was okay though, just precautionary.
To cap the day off, the guy who owns the mini took it out in the 'open' at the end of the day, where you can race but you don't get points. The steering rack di-integrated as he cam out of a corner, the wheels still had lock on when it broke hence he took out another driver both going into the centre of the track. Jumping over some tyres in the process. The other driver came of worse I believe with a broken diff!
