I suppose there's always an attraction to native food too, has anyone here ever tasted Haggis before? That's the most famous national dish of Scotland, it's a specially cooked mix of various different meats and internal organs of a sheep, prepared in a time honoured way that takes ages, and even though it sounds like it might be a little bit disgusting, what with being made out of various sheep parts, it's absolutely bloody lovely, it tastes like nothing else you'd ever taste, although I don't suppose many of you will ever have tasted Haggis, besides any of you who've ever been to Scotland, I'm thinking any of you Englishmen especially, since you're only a few hundred miles away? Normally that's served with Neeps and Tatties, which for the rest of you is vegetables and potatoes, also prepared in the traditional way, boiled over a fire, and possibly a Scotch Broth for a starter, which is like a very thick, very filling soup made out of vegetables that grow in the Highlands. So, what are the rest of your countries' national cuisines, I've tasted English cooking, roast beef and all that, and it's nice too, and I suppose I've tasted various famous American dishes (hotdogs, apple pie, etc ) but I'm not sure if I've ever tried Russian or Australian cuisine or any other meals from countries that you lot are from. (Well, I've tasted Russian vodka and Australian wine, but that's not really relevant here! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D)

There really isn't such thing as Australian cuisine. As you can tell from my list, we have a lot of food from other cultures. Wonderful foods from all around the world, particularly Asia. But a typical Aussie meal is a meat pie with sauce, a cup of chips a coke and a game of footy. Other traditional Aussie meals are anything you can cook on a BBQ. Snags (sausages) and chops mainly. Washed down with a cold beer fresh ofcourse.
But most of us eat a good variety of food. I love having access to so much great food from different parts of the world. Craps all over fast-food.

VB mate Depends on where you go. XXXX is a Queensland beer and they're the only ones who drink it. VB is Victoria Bitter and basically only Vics drink it. Fosters is an Aussie beer, but that all gets shipped to England and only Aussies in England drink it. But different BBQs will have different beers... if it's blokes having a Sunday BBQ and watching the footy, it'll be VB or XXXX. But if it's a dinner/social thing, there'll be a bit of variety and more classy beers.

Fosters isn't the best beer, but when matched up against American beers... Sorry, not a fan of American piss-weak beers.
