Tomorrow is Valentines Day. So my question is: What do you donate your girl-/boyfriend?
My friend becomes a picture frame with roses on it and a pic of us two.

I'm a bit late to this discussion, but I can see what Lomax is getting at. Maybe valentines' day started out as an expression of love and all that, but these days it's more about chocolate manufacturers and big card companies making gigantic profits (even more gigantic than their usual profits) I reckon with valentines' day, and easter coming soon, that right now the massively wealthy bloody capitalists running Cadbury's or similar must be rubbing their hands with glee and thinking of all the misty eyed lovers and little kids demanding easter eggs that will soon be helping the rich get richer. And it's true, it's possible to show affection all year round, people are too materialistic, I've had girlfriends complain that I don't love them just because I don't spend huge amounts on presents for them every time capitalism says that it's the time for me to rush out and buy them jewellery and chocolates, I mean aren't people able to have feelings that don't need to be bribed out of them with gifts?! Or am I only saying that because I just broke up with someone?! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I see your point.
I think Mother and Fathers day is the same.
I heard somewhere that Mothers Day, used to be the day of the year all the christians visited the mother church in the center of town instead of their local church. Now its to do with our own Mothers!!
Then, they decided, it would be a great money making scheme to introduce Fathers Day to bring in more money!!
Its stupid, and people are falling for it and buying the presents and cards.
