Colin McRae is competing in the X Games 2006 new Rallying section, competing against the likes of Travis pastrana. For those who don't know, the X Games is "street" sports like BMX, Skateboarding, Motocross etc. and is massive in USA. It's the kind of sports where you see grown men in baggy trousers hooning around on push bikes in the sky. Rallying becomes an X GameMcRae's involvementLooks like I'll be growing my hair, wearing baggy gear and shouting things like "awesome", "peace out" and "dude!"

wow rallying an x-game will give the sport some good advertising Yes, Rallying isn't big in America and names like Travis Pastrana, big for Motocross (5 time X Game champion) has now switched to Rallying, did alright in the America Rally Championship last year and is rumoured to be doing some WRC next year. Maybe this could be the start of America coming back into World Rallying?

would be good for alot of the manufactors if rallying did go back to America
i'd take it the x games will have some sort of super special set up for the rallying set up with the games usually been based on the outskirts of big cities

Yeah, its strange how rallying 'almost' went out of fashion in the US for a while-(well from the WRC point of view). I would never have thought that Rallying would get to the X Games; but it is all about being Xtreme, and rallying is certainly that-pure adrenaline rush ;D ::thumbsup:: Colin is no doubt the man for the job too-would be good to see some of the action from the games actually; from all featured sports (Totally Rad Dude!! )
