"A 53-year-old man has died after being hit by a car which was taking part in the Granite City rally in Aberdeenshire, Grampian Police said. The man, who had been a participant in the rally, was standing at the side of the road when he was hit by another vehicle and killed."
Graham was a great co-driver and i believe leaves a wife and children behind

Thats awful news. I don't know if its just because I have been more aware of deaths in rallying since Park's death, but it seems to have increased . RIP Graham Lewis

The accident happend saturday morning when the Trabant of David Langheinrich and Oliver Bleich went off the stage, flip several times and slide sideways against a tree. The roof cuts off and the cage collides. Driver ans Co- driver died on the spot.

I think it's extra sad when both driver and co-driver are killed in an accident. I cannot believe there have been so many deaths (whether it be accidentaly or through poor health) in the last several months. April has to be worst so far, first there was Jorg Bastuck in Catalunya, then Alexandr Lesnikov in a road car accident, it's just been tough this month. To me, ever since what happened to Michael Park, accidents of any kind send chills up my spine in any discipline of racing because that is in the back of my mind

Motorsport is dangerous. We're reminded of it whenever we attend a rally. And we're reminded time and time again with deaths, injuries and accidents in all forms of rallying. Three spectators injured in Targa Tasmania, fatal crash in Germany, fatal crash in England. It's very sad.
It does seem to be happening more and more but I think we've just been lucky in the last decade not to have so many fatalities. When you look back, you see more in all levels of rallying but it doesn't take away from the fact that another person has lost their life.
Very sad for the sport and those related to those in the accidents. Many condolances to them.

Today(I think) the Honda duo Dmitry Chicherin/Alexej Lukin crashed in the 7th stage of the Rally Sestroretsk(Russian RAlly Cup). The driver lost the control over the car and crashed with highspeed with the drivers site into a tree. The driver died on spot and the co-driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. My condolences of the family of Dmitry Chicherin!!!! I dont know whats goiing on these days!! Everthing began with the death of Beef. I think its really important to discuss about the safety and what we could do to avoid such tragic accidents!!!! R.I.P. Dmitry

i think since Beef because that was a wrc event the media did swamp over that so now we are more aware of incidents on events which are more of a national level as well
sad news once again

Hmm deaths are really on the rise at the moment, although that maybe due to the media discussing it more. R.I.P Dmitry Chicherin

Oh my God... I've been here... After the off pilot and co-driver were alive. But passing-by crews didn't stop. Spectators were waving with hands, but help didn't come. Drivers were taken out of the car by spectators, not by marshalls... Ambulance came in about 30 minutes after the tragedy... 5 minutes before it arrived the Dima had died... Dima was driving 32nd out of 46 crews... Only three last crews (out of 14) passed in safe mode... No connection between start and finish. A crew, driving after Dima, said that on finish they were asked if the pilots were Ok in the Civic... They did know about the accident, but administration did nothing... All drivers were in shock... I'm still in shock... This death... so close...
