HANS (Head And Neck Support) is the new support the drivers have to use in the WRC.
I think its a great idea, however its obvious it wasn't originally designed for rally drivers. co-drivers have already complained about the difficulty of reading the pacenotes. Also, Gilles Panizzi's came lose in Monte Carlo this year causing more damage than good.
It still needs a lot of work in my opinion.
What are your views on it?

I love the HANS idea. Ok, it mught be a bit harder to drive with it (as Gilles Panizzi showed us in Monte-Carlo), as it's still a pretty new system, but it's much safer to drive with it. Remember Rovampera's crash in NZ 2003??? If you get to remember, you'll see his head moved all over, sideways and to the front. HANS has the objective of preventing those types of movements. I think the HANS device it's a great idea

It should be upgraded a bit before I can say it's a great idea! It seems this systems isn't very comfortable and sometimes disturbs drivers! And this not good!

its a great saftey feature that can save lives, but it also restricts the drivers view and movement so it has its downfalls

I think it is a good device also, as far as safety is concerned. But they really should modify it for rally drivers so they will be able to move around more and stuff.
