Peugeot Belgium-Luxembourg will not continue will drivers Freddy Loix and Nicolas Vouilloz in 2010.
Their line-up will most likely be newly crowned champion Kris Meeke and Thierry Neuville, a Belgian young potential. Neuville for example finished day 1 of the Belgian Condroz rally 4secs behind a WRC car in his Citroën C2 R2 Max and left several WRC, S2000 and other higher classed cars behind.
As for Freddy Loix, there are strong rumours that he will drive a Skoda Fabia S2000 in next year's IRC. He would then be backed by Belgium's René Georges RallySport.
Nothing is known of Nicolas Vouilloz yet.

If it's confirmed, i'm very happy for Neuville! He showed his talent many times on a few rounds of the France Championship and really deserves to drive in a professional team

Subaru to return to IRC only as a supporting grp for those Subies already running. Seems to me as if they are testing the waters before jumping in. I would rather see Subies running in the WRC as manufacturer team, but it is good that they are reaching into the rally world again. And Proton will be running 2 cars. Alister McRae is likely to continue with Proton for 2010, but the second driver's name has not been released because they are still talking to "several" people. Flip

Ford officially entered the IRC through M-Sport.
Robert Kubica (F1 pilot) will line up a Renault Clio R3 in Monte Carlo.
Guy Wilks signed with Skoda UK to do a full IRC programme.

There should be battles in almost every category in this rally: In S2000, Peugeot and Skoda will have to face the new Fiesta driven by Hirvonen. It's nice to see that Bryan Bouffier is doing the rally. It is also nice to see many french drivers such as Olivier MARTY, Jean-Sebastien VIGION (who has just recovered his driving licence), Renaud POUTOT (who did a pretty nice rally last year and who's back with a Punto S2000 this time). Pierre CAMPANA and Matthieu ARZENO are two young promising drivers. Eric MAUFFREY used to be a regular french championship driver with his 306 maxi. The 2009 france rally champion, Guillaume Canivenq was expected to do the rally but finally he doesn't . And to finish with, two of the Zero cars will be driven by Jean RAGNOTTI and Jean ALESI

Thiery Neuville doesn't have the budget for his spot in the Kronos team. There are also very strong rumours that Kronos isn't able to enter 2 cars in the IRC anymore. They will only continue with Kris Meeke, unless a second customer shows enough money to compete in a rally.
EDIT: it is said that Neuville will drive the JWRC with a Citroën C2 S1600

Thanks Loebfan and Hurricane about the news. I know something about French series but not too much. Also to me it was somehow interesting to see Julien Maurin at the another Fiesta entry given by Msport .
Im sure it will be a fantastic event. I dont know about Peugeot/Kronos but atleast at Monte them seems to have drivers there.

Thanks! I knew a vid of Hirvonen but Ogier and Poutot videos are awesome! At first the music takes a bit too much time but after that you can just hear the S2000´s hitting the limiter on snow. Onboards are also really awesome. I just love the noises of those cars. Im actually always on rallyes when Im watching waiting the S2000´s and S1600´s to come because for them you still get some feeling by noises. Maybe from 2011 even the main competitors will give some again .

Yes, the noise of the atmospheric engines is very special. I remember a place at the Tour de Corse where you could hear the Super 1600 cars 2 kilometers before they arrived at you! However, concerning the turbo engined cars such as wrc cars, you didn't hear them at all before they came at the corner before where you were

Nice videos. By the looks of it, I doubt Poutot will have a good result. He's not very tidy and sometimes a bit too cautious. Also, the first time you have a look in the thingypit, the co-pilot is in crash position I loved the part where Hirvonen and Lehtinen sign their bonnet of GB 2009

18-year old Tom Cave is set to become the first private contractor of a Proton Satria Neo S2000.
He's said to drive the car in approximately 7 IRC rounds, mainly on European soil. Also he will drive some rounds with it in the BRC.
