I'm borrowing Rallye-Info's poll.
Any other drivers not mentioned on the poll?

I voted kris meeke because he's doing well in the IRC. Now I realize ... if he's doing well there he should stay there lol
Either Solberg or Atko.

Is Loeb replaceable? I mean, he is the most successful driver in the history of the sport. There is no driver who is as consistently fast as him at the moment.
Therefore, if I was looking for a star for the future, need somebody who is in the early stages of his WRC career, but who has also showed plenty of pace and can demonstrate consistency.
PG Andersson is a driver who I think can do that. His performance in Norway in an ageing Fabia against much newer and more powerful machinery was inspiring. His performances at Suzuki in both the JWRC and the WRC were also top quality. He is a driver that deserves a top works drive, but is instead sitting on the sidelines.
Another on the sidelines is Atkinson. We all know how quick he can be, and last year he was finally starting to show some consistency, running third in the drivers standings for a number of consecutive rallies. Another driver who should be competing at the top level on a regular basis.
But as you say Will, with the FIA's constant indescion about the future direction of the sport, the IRC is the place to be at the moment. The organisers of the Monte Carlo rally recently announced that they will not seek a position in the WRC calendar next year. Not hard to see why.

Perhaps Gigi Galli and Francois Duval could be put on the list? Or maybe they've been away too long...

Ive always been a Duval fan and probably will be but unfortunately I think his out for the WRC already. His not been out for a too long time but when you look what he has been doing lately is not what Im sure off. I mean his driving just sometimes in GT3,S2000 or oldies and is doing also some sportscar races at the Porsche, driven some legend cars and so on. I just dont know does Duval even have interest for WRC,maybe new S2000 could get the interest and even a car for him (by news pissed off the local Skoda by ditching the car in Ypres SS1 where he could have showed that he is still capable for great speed. I guess people have forgotten Duval already. A bit same with Gigi. People remember him but when you dont have money to drive, you just dont. Gigi has been always very fast and sometimes too fast but I guess he isnt what Citroen is looking at. His not French example and of course Citroen´s first target is to look a driver what suits for marketing too. Also Gigi´s last season on the Stobart wasnt that great. Atkinson? sorry Aussies. Ok he has showed his speed and a bit like Gigi is mostly a bit too fast. Such a great guy but I dont know what Citroen could see on him. Also by speed by my mind, aint there. Ok beaten Petter and this year we have seen what Petter can do with the Xsara . The situation is a bit the same as Petter... them dont keep that Atkinson is one of them unless he brings a lot of money and by that way can show his capable for doing the job. I voted for K.Meeke . We know he is fast and if Peugeot wont jump into the WRC Im sure Meeke could fill the place. He was a Citroen junior driver at the past and we know that example Peugeot in IRC have a certain team manager . He has showed his fast and even consistant these days and for sure could be capable for driving to the WRC victories aswell. I still think that he would have a lot of potential! Still another option of course would always be, Ogier . Im sure Citroen have big plans to this guy and his also French and a certain S. Loeb have links to this guy. Im pretty sure that he will stay on Citroen even when havent showed some great speed but his way looks very much to the one of D.Sordo.

I voted for PG but now really think I should of gone for Meeke. I think Meeke would be a no brainer given the links between Peugeot Sport and Citroen Sport or Citroen Racing or whatever they are called nowadays. Union jack C4 anyone?
