so Loeb crashed out and will souperally...
Now in 32nd position just 19.54 off the lead
How many positions will he recover by the end of the rally?
11 stages left totalling 236km
I say he can ALMOST make it to points - P9!!

Wtf is wrong with Loeb; this is... is..... .... un-Loeb like Guess 5 titles are his total limit. 2010 doesn't seem to be in his interest. I'm glad Petter is holding on, but his bro is like 6 or 7 secs behind him. I'm still counting on JM Latvala to slip up, like getting stuck in a tree for 35 or 37 sec; nothing serious you know Mirafiori.com will soon have day 1 video, can't wait to see it. Flip

I guess theres nothing with Loeb. We have seen legends going with the same thing. When something starts to go terribly wrong, them will go and when you climb to the top again.. all worries will be gone. If Mikko wins he will actually take the championship lead :S . I guess its ok because I still think that Loeb will be back in action. It will be so interesting to follow Rally Finland then for the forest because it will be a big event what comes to points. but Im not saying anything anymore. Theres still few days to go

Loeb is human, this is rallying. He has been pushing hard for several years. He got away with some mistakes last year, but it's not like he's never crashed... Norway, Australia, Japan, etc. It's just unusual that it's 2 events in a row.
Mikko's car still has to get to the finish, but if it does, this championship race will be back on.

Oh, and it will be interesting to see Loeb start 2nd on the road in Finland. He can put some heat on Mikko from the first stage instead of being prey to the Ford tactics.

I think the biggest shock of the weekend has to be me forgetting to enter the tipping!
Some chat of Atko on Rally Radio, they are still looking at deals etc. and it's possible entries to Oz and GB could be announced in the next two to three weeks. His manager (forgot his name) said that they are also looking at S2000 as they see it as the future and the S2000 Cup may interest him.
He's been back to Australia for a while, had a kid and has spent some time with family etc. and keeping fit - but should be returning to Europe soon!
They also chatted about Markko, will he come back? "Never say never!" But nothing has been decided and it's up to Markko to say "I want to go back."

Woo, another Ford win But oh dear oh dear oh dear. Jari-Matti on the SSS. Wilson will be furious, 8 points just thrown away. Ford now just claim two points back from Citroen instead of twelve. That is a massive result for Citroen!

Yeah thats true JML messed it all again. Im sure Wilson wouldnt confirmed him to Finland if it wouldnt be his home rally. I must say when I just saw that I was just laughing. Wilson wasnt too happy yeah and even Hirvonen was just laughing but Lehtinen was giving bad words and all . Ford then lost a lot of valuable M points. I dont care about M points but for Ford them really matters.

I think the only thing stopping Malcolm Wilson from dropping Jari-Matti is the reason for his mistakes, his speed! Once he get's his mistakes out the way the man will be claiming multiple titles! Also how old is he now? 24? If there were other drivers of his speed around at the time I think Jari would still be at Stobart learning, but at the time most people were snapped up or without budget. Ideally Malcolm would still have him on a Matty Wilson style leash!
Was gutted for the lad when the news came through, if there's anyone confidence that can go from sky high to non-exsistant it's Jari-Matti. Saying that, he'll go and blitz the field in Finland by like a minute now!
What an event though, superb roads - Finland without trees! Jumps, crests, technical sections and a massive fan base. This event HAS to be kept in the WRC!

That event was brilliant! I just watched the final day and it was just great rallying. Great to watch.
Dani again off the road, but luckily it didn't cost him. Poor old Jari-Matti... but look at it this way... Mikko knows EXACTLY how he feels!!! Remember Mikko clouting the barrier in Finland?
Jari-Matti is great value, as you say he's a future world champion for sure. He had the same bad luck as Loeb... small impact, maximum damage. Like the hidden tree-stump Loeb hit, Latvala's barrel instantly broke his steering.
JML, it happens mate, this is rallying. Head up, son. It was a fantastic drive by him all weekend.

Novikov certainly provided half a season's entertainment in one rally!

Doesn't he always? He loves to go flat chat over those blind crests! I think their retirement might have been Dale getting late on the notes, but I'm not sure of that. Might have to watch it a few more times.

I think you may of been right on their first off, I certainly heard "crest" then just saw sky then field! God knows how he didn't roll the car on the Sunday, the car was on it's side - very lucky for it to fall abck onto four relatively unscathed!

I FORGOT TO DO THE ******* TIPPING AAARGH. Anyway - Poland was certainly a good rally, quite eventful - just look at Latvala at the end, I was in floods of tears almost just by laughing so hard. Of course I'm sorry for him as it would make him feel terrible but what a way to retire from a rally on the SSS and infront of the whole team. Also Loeb, just an innocuous little tree stump takes him out. Championship becoming interesting now, still reckon Loeb will win though
