There's no reason why there couldn't be a World Champion Co-driver. I'm actually surprised that there aren't more female co-drivers at the top level.

I remember a co-driver called Tina Thorner (not sure on spelling) who used to co-drive for Kenneth Erikkson for Skoda in 2002: Source: Juwra.com

She also co-drove for McRae in the 05 Dakar and forour local hero De Villiers in Dakar 06. My favorite line of hers was in 02 on the Corsica rally I believe. "We are clear of stage. Our tyres are f'd" Classic!

I think they can compete at a reasonable level of motorsport.
Lorna Smith almost won the Production BRC two years in a row.
Danica Patrick almost won the Indy 500, and its surely only a matter of time before she finally wins.
Katherine Legge had a great Toyota Atlantic Series last year, and deserves her place in Champ Cars.
Will she compete as well as Patrick? Unlikely, but I'll be supporting her.

Ive just thought there was 1 really good female co-driver in yorkshire, she died a little while ago (forgot her name), same way as micheal park, though i dont think the details are the same(if you get me)
