Haha, I remember two years ago, we had to build the software to run a rail network (for a toy train set). That was an intense last week! The four of us took shifts to work on it and we worked about 20 hours each per day for the entire last week. Together with a slab of Kratendang (Red Bull syrup) we managed to get it finished... then we all fell ill the next week.

Hehe, $13M doesn't go too far in WRCFM. Welcome to the league. The points for the league are averaged out over the number of members... so because we have 13 members our league score suffers. But it doesn't matter because the guy who's coming 2nd is in a league all by himself, so that league is basically untouchable. It's going to be tricky picking a team for Japan. I really dont know how the rally's going to go. Looking back at past results it'll be Solberg or Gronholm. But both have had mechanical woes on gravel this season. And then there's who to choose in the lower levels... it's unlikely that Sordo will score big points, Hirvonen and Atkinson have both had pace in Japan but are both unreliable. And then there's Toshi Arai who will be the no1 dark horse.

Off-topic, but briefly, it was an electric train set. It had sensors which were monitored by a computer and we had to write the software to respond to the sensors and control the network so trains wouldn't crash into each other. This meant enabling (providing power to) certain sections of track and disabling other sections. It was fun but draining. If you want to know more PM me.

Ok well I have started work on the portal which will link the two new WRCFM games together and provide a nice little intro. Both games will be linked together, where you just register for the portal, and then you can either play both or just one of them (Once the Rally Manager game is finished, but I thought I had better make it easily transitionable into the WRCFM site.) Along with the portal, the WRCFM game is getting a redesign, with a updated layout and some more features. This will also spell the end of having to resignup at the start of each season, seen I have planned out most of the database now to make use of multiple seasons, so there will also be more statistics available for people to view. Also for next season, we will be having new hosts. Which could also bring about some new opportunities for some more features for the site. Anyways in the meantime, I am looking for some people to help test the development of both the portal and the new version of WRCFM. All you need to do is browse and try to break the game etc, try out new areas that I have implemented, point out any errors etc. Quite simple work really and it would be appreciated for anyone to help. Let me know (by pm or email) if you would be willing to help out. At the moment, only the basics of the portal are coded, however once I get moving into the WRCFM game it shouldn't take too long, considering a lot of it will just be a quick change over from the old code. (This version will be the one running from next season. It will not be coming out this season.) If you want an incentive to help test.. think of it this way.. It will be using a few of the rules coming out for next seasons game. Could provide a headstart? *cough*hint: 1 tyre make next year, no point offering points for it now*cough* Should make it more interesting now eh?
