Yes, indeed - a great battle with the A5's.
13 A5's entered with varying degrees of competitor skills and vehicle specs.
Unfortunately the rally got off to a bad start with Hurricane out on SS1 with a broken axle (I'd like to be the company supplying axles to these cars!!!).
Congrats to Mitch who grabbed the last spot on the rally podium with his Finnish team of Toivonen driving and Makinen co-driving. A great result after a patchy year in 1.1.GB. The rebuilding process looks good with these guys performing well. Mitch held a comfortable lead over Vivski's team (which must have been running in safe mode I think). ;D
Fifth team home was another Sainz One team - the 17 year old Otsason driving with the experienced co-driver Jarosz pointing the way home and edging out the Polish team Marcin.
In seventh place was Matt of rallyrudd team finishing ahead of 3 111.GB teams and RF Competition (a local team in their second race).
Timson Motorsport brought up the rear with a young new team (presumably on safe mode) and was actually beaten by another local team (Howell Motorsports) having their first competitive outing with a new N1. Well done to Bruce at Howell Motorsports on their first points score.
RF Comp (a new team in 111.6.GB) performed particularly well to finish the race and run P2 in the league comp.
Last, but not least, my A6 has achieved 2nd overall (behind another A6) and collected max points for the league rally (and points for the RGL too). The win guarantees my championship win in 111.6.GB (and puts some much needed money in the bank). ;D ;D
Hope to see you all again soon folks.
PS I am planning on running one of my A5's in the last race of the season in 1.1.GB. Make sure you are there for that one. I'll be running my #1 team which will beat all other A5's!!!
Regards, Len
