What's happening for 2006? With PSA leaving where are 4 of the top 5 WRC drivers going? Will Suzuki join the WRC? Full of questions does anyone have any answer? www.rallyview.tk

Hi Chris,
Im not to sure, but I think Renault, Suzuki and Hyundai will be entering next year.
As to where the drivers will go, I personally think Leob will go to Ford. As will Duval as Ford were very keen to keep him for the 2005 season.
I can see Gronholm going to Subaru, replacing Sarrazin. Im not to sure about Markko Martin.
I hope McRae and Burns come back to the WRC in 2006. Its a shame the way they had to leave.

I'd like for McRae to make a retrun, although it's at least a good thing that he's entering stuff like the Paris - Dakar, which is interesting to watch! It'd be interesting to see Renault, Suzuki and Hyundai making an entrance into the WRC (again in Hyundai's case but anyway... ) It's always seemed odd to me that Nissan haven't considered it, considering they're big rivals in the Dakar already.

i think 3 teams would be good because it would make it more competetive.

It was much better when the teams had 3 cars.
The only problem is the cost. The only way the FIA could convince teams to do 16 events was if the number of cars was reduced to 2. So some sacrifices would have to be made if 3 cars were brought back.

It would be a good way to get more drivers in. The problem is cost, but skoda (team with least money) run 3 cars on most events.

the reason skoda are running 3 cars is because they have been on a limited program

You can say skoda only do a limited program but this year they're doing all 16 events(most with 3 cars)

as the grand scheme of things goes there will still be a few teams left
subaru ford citroen - who say that if they can get a 100 % reliability rate, aswell as the drivers nd world championship they will try and fight to stay in the WRC even after pug leave hyundai mitsubushi skoda
and there have been roumers of suzuki entering in a swift, think this could be a good move for them, and if they can somehow find a way of lowering the costs as they are doing with the new engine rules then they miught still get moreteams in there
peronally i woud like to see audi back having a go
