Stage Wins:
Latvala = 6 Ogier = 5 Hirvonen = 1 Sordo = 1
Stages 6 and 11 were cancelled, following protesters throwing rocks onto the road during the first run. Plenty of close battles in both WRC and PWRC divisions. Despite the pathetic protest action on one stage, the rally appears to be running smoothly so far. Roll on Day 2!

The results of this Tipping Championship round have been calculated. Once Vivski opens up the results topic, I'll post them up.
For your information: I took the results after the Citroën drivers got their penalties.

What a blow for Loeb, Dani and Ogier. And Citroen as well. On the other hand, it is good that the WRC officials/stewards are doing a good job in making sure that everyone is complying with the rules. Just sucks that Loeb has been penalized twice so far this year: first because Elena took off his seatbelt too early and now this. Although it does occur to me that the penalty handed to the drivers is a little bitter because they didn't actually put the bar in. Oh well. Nice rally over all, very exciting and as always I followed it via WRC radio (Beck's even read over the radio 2 of my emails that I sent!! That was totally awesome) Hope everyone else enjoyed it as well. Flip

Had a great time up at Rally Australia. There were some good points and some frustrating ones. I ended up going to Thursday, Friday, Saturday and only the podium on Sunday. Was going to be 5 hours of driving on Sunday starting a bit too early for me, so I had a sleep-in and chilled out at the beach instead. Took plenty of photos. No idea if they're any good. Could have 1600 duds. Met up with Jason, which was cool. Nice guy. Kept bumping into each other at various speccy points, but Sarah was quite elusive. Maybe next time Off to check my photos.

Been pruning through some photos. I took about 1900 of them over the 4 days, even though I didn't see any of the stages on Sunday. This is probably not the best, but it's one of my favourites:

Haha, cool!
Can I get a set of the ones that I'm in? Proof that I was there!
You're in a handful of my lot as well. Maybe we can trade.
