Thought this might be an interesting thread as we have some intriging usernames aboard Ship Rallystuff!
Basically you tell us where your username came from and/or if it has any meaning!
Mine is simple, I'm called Nick and I was playing WRC 1 on the PS2 and whilst driving the Citroen in preparation for Colin's move it suddely occured to me I could borrow his surname, and so the driver name and username was born! All my e-mails are nickmcrae@summatorother.com.
I do have another username used for non-rallying/motosport forums and sites. I needed a name for my at the time website and I wanted a easy to remember url. Hence freewebs.com/nickt04* was born! Nick is my name, the T the first letter of my surname and 04 was the year at the time. I was going to change it to NickT05/06 every year, but didn't quite enjoy the same ring to it as 04!
So, how about you lot?
*don't bother visiting that, it doesn't exsist no more!

Vivski is something I just use online. It was my first username, probably dates back well into the 90s. My name's Viv and -ski is a cool suffix. Nothing else goes with Viv. It had to be short, timeless, something I could use for anything and preferably fairly unique. It's usually unique, but some chick registered the name on Facebook the first day the aliases became available. Until then I thought I was the only Vivski.

My friends call me Flip. On a drunken night with my friends, loooong time ago, we were watching a very bad Japanese movie that had dinosaurs running around a city. We played a game in which you had to chose a dinosaur's name and when it showed up in the movie, you had to take a drink. We had a list of the dinosaurs that appeared in the movie. I picked the T. Rex and needless to say I got really smashed because the stupid T. Rex was the one most showed. So... In my state of complete drunkeness I assumed the name T. Flip Rex.

Post by Roo on Jul 13, 2009 6:31:02 GMT
When I was little, I naturally had trouble trying to say some words. Early on, one of these words funnily enough, was my name, Andrew. Instead of saying "Andrew", I said "Rew", and the nickname Roo has stuck ever since.
When I decided to join the RallyStuff.net forum, I wanted a name that was unique. In the end, I choose Roo because I didn't want to use a school-coined nickname, nor some random car-driver orientated name. The sound Roo is also at the end of Subaru, which gives my username a rallying element, and Roo is also a short-hand term for kangaroo, which gives my username an Australian element.

My username dates years back when I started playing Counter-Strike. I just started playing as Bart, since I couldn't decide on a cool enough nickname (because that's what you need if your a young teenager playing CS ). One evening playing online I won a round for my team, destroying about everything possible in the decor. "Wow, it's just like a hurricane came through here" was a reaction I got. And that's when I took this nickname.
