Ok thanks RS.. With madmax style I meant it beeing nothing like its been or lets say what Ive imagined. For the shot I saw it looks a bit weird.. No green anywhere just it beeing so brown and looking like an atomic bomb(sorry) would been dropped into the zone. Ok might be due to building too but it just didnt looked like it would be real. I just was concerned as has the forest fires and heat maken its thing?? img.mtv3.fi/mn_kuvat/mtv3/urheilu/formulakuvat/sekalaiset/2009/643944.jpg

Albert Park is right in the heart of the city of Melbourne, so it hasn't been affected by fire - it's at least a few hundred kilometres away. That photo looks like a couple years old and I think it was after the grand prix once they started to clean up the place. It looks completely normal the rest of the year, they just paint the ripple strips green They even leave all the FIA results on a noticeboard where parc-ferme is, long after the grand prix is finished. Also the garages are converted into a sporting complex the rest of the year - but you can still see the tyre marks in the pitlane. You're not allowed to drive your car in the pitlane, but once late at night, a couple of mates decided to put one of our cars and take a photo of the car getting a fake pitstop. All we had to do was move a couple of bins. Once we had our fun, we decided to drive around the track a bit more and then 2 police cars arrive past. They didn't know it was us, but lucky we left when we did I've begun to notice some keen tourists already wandering the track and taking photos of the track. I find it a bit surreal jogging past the support paddocks and concrete blocks, it's the only reason why I go running. Tomorrow I might remember to bring my camera and take some photos of the track being constructed and maybe an onboard lap from my car. A couple of the roads might be closed due to construction so I won't be able to do the whole track, but I'll try.

Yep, that's what several months of low rainfall and water restrictions will do to your parkland. They will manage to make it look okay for the TV coverage, but there are a lot of parks around Melbourne that look like that now.
