Loeb and Elena have not won through luck or having the best car or team. They deserve this one and I hope they win it. You sure? What about New Zealand? That's just one of 45 other examples.

What about New Zealand? What about Jordan when Loeb got taken out by Rautenbach? Yes, Loeb has had his fair share of luck, but so have all the other drivers this season so far. Every driver has bad/good luck at some point during the season, but the telling blow is that Loeb has ten wins to his name and that's what counts. Up until the mid-season break, the championships could have gone either way, but once Loeb had won in Finland and New Zealand, the result was pretty much a done deal. Loeb has been the most consistent and the fastest this season and therefore deserves, and will, win the drivers title. Well done to Sarah for another tipping win. Thought I was looking the goods there for a while, just not quite enough points.

Loeb indeed deserves the win. He's the best rally driver of all time and nobody can deny that.
Currently there are 248 stages driven in the WRC this year. Loeb has won 102 of them. Latvala is second with only 44 stage wins. Hirvonen is third with 33.

And how many of those 102 were from 1st on the road?
If Sordo had not made so many mistakes this season, Loeb would already have the title.
Hirvonen has driven really well this season (not a single retirement), he's certainly someone who can capitalise if Loeb, Elena and Citroen slip up next season. But if he is to win a title, I want him to win it through being the best driver for the season. We are all a little over Loeb's dominance, but we want him to be genuinely beaten, not for his engine to blow up every second rally.
While Loeb is kicking butt despite everything the others throw at him, I will keep admiring his brilliance and enjoying watching what he and Elena can do in a rally car.
I don't watch rallying for the results, I watch it because I'm a fan of great driving. And so far this season I have been thoroughly entertained, those who say it's boring are forgetting the beauty of the sport.

Well, for sure not only by relying on luck... But you'll get my point better if you remeber how he got his first gravel "win"... (Cyprus 2004). Of course he's a super-human. But by this I mean that his "super" part wassomehow related to luck: being in the best team, having weak or only one strong rival, lucky to avoid lots of problems or serious consicuqences...

The man is about to win his 5th career WRC win, luck? Nope. Skill, determination, consistency, grit, guts, fast car, good copilot, good team, thats what it is all about. Subies and Ford lack many of the "ingredients" to achieve better results. Ford has left a bitter taste in my mouth by taking a more points tactical system. I'd be angry if I was told that I need to lose my 2nd position so the guy in 4th can get better pts. I know that it was a "team" decision but still I'd be angry. I love Subies, as if no one noticed, and I have high hopes that next year things will change for the best, I will always be a Subie fan, but I do give recognition to someone as skillful as Loeb whom has preformed outstandingly.
Gratz Sarah on the tipping! Any pointers for next rally? *hint*hint*wink*wink*

Thanks guys, no real secret. Just a mixture of logical thinking and driver favourites! I believe it was supposed to be Petter, as Henning isn't as strong on tarmac.
As for the tactics again, in what I've read Mikko is very annoyed and regretful for what Malcolm made the others do, and fair enough too.
But then, if it came down to the wire and if Mikko could have won the championship from those 3 points - Both Malcolm and Mikko would be kicking themselves.
However, I don't think it will matter this season. Seb has proved that he is the master and I think he will come through to make it five in a row.
Any thoughts on when he will stop? When the current WRCar regulations cease seems likely, but I have had this thinking in the back of my head that he'll want to make it a nice round 50 WRC wins with 5 Championships. Well, that's what I'd do.
