How is the system protected from double/triple/etc voting? is it the same that is used on your home page? In this case it's enough for me to re-enter the internet (I'm dial-upper) to vote once again. So the results become unreliable, fixed... Curt, can you ensure me that no one can vote two times?))

I made the system so I'll try and answer your questions.
The nominations system isn't like the one on the homepage, I guess your refering to the poll which only lets a particular IP address vote once in 24 hours, since I believe your IP address changes everytime you reconnect on dial-up I can see how this could be a problem but didn't use this for the nominations system.
I don't want to give away too many details about how the nominations work as I don't want people to attempt to abuse it in anyway, but the form requires people to submit information about themselves. While this can be faked in some circumstances any odd or unusual nominations will not be counted.
As far as insuring that somebody dosen't vote twice, its impossible under any system, (unless you have a login system with a unique account for each person given by a admin, which none of this site uses), to ensure that somebody does not vote more than once. Curt can only rely on his best judgement.

are you still getting votes, and when is the deadline?
Or are you just waiting for all votes to stop for a week or so?

are you still getting votes, and when is the deadline? Or are you just waiting for all votes to stop for a week or so? As I have put in the first post, the deadline is 09/12/2005, which is next Friday. Votes are still coming in, but not as many as the first few weeks. Hopefully, I can get the results online by 11/12/2005.

I don't want to give too much away, but it is very close between the top two for the Member of the Year award. Only 1 vote separating them.
