I knew I had to come here after learning Vermulen was on pole, I cannot believe Casey Stoner nearly won it, what an absolute start, I have a feeling that he will win very soon EDIT: D'oh! Forgive my ignorance, I actually thought Casey won the race! ::laugh::

Yeah, I echo everyone's sentiment here-Woohoo-what a ride by Casey!! I watched the race and was seriously on the edge of my seat-I was so hoping that he could hold off Melandri till the end, but, not to be this race. Melandri might have won, but Casey's day is coming soon. Stoner has such a bright future-he's just got a great style and natural ability on the bike-it will take him a long way. My hat off to Danny Pedrosa as well-he rode great and showed that he is gonna be a force to be reckoned with this season. Vermuelen rode strong too, and getting pole is super. Rossi-well, he qualified 11th and did well to climb up to 4th position at the end-he'll bounce back next race for sure.

Yeah Casey had a good race but still my hat goes to Melandri. With a 2nd team Honda he taked a win for 14th place.
ok. The race was weird and Bridgestone guys wasnt happy to them tyre choices and Michelin was clearly a better tyre.
As I said to 250cc after Lorenzo was cutted off it makes a better season now but just for a while. In 125cc its a shame that Aspar team have 6 top Aprilia drivers and even Derbi and Gilera are with Aprilia technic. I wish KTM would be able to challence Aspar on next races or the season is far from exciting.
as you can see here is the comperision for motogp(top10)!!
1.Melandri (14th in QL) M 2.Stoner (7th in QL) M 3.Hayden (2nd in QL) M 4.Rossi (11th in QL) M 5.Elias (12th in QL) M 6.Capirossi (4th in QL) B 7.Vermeulen (1st in QL) B 8.Nakano (8th in QL) B 9.Edwards (9th in QL) M 10.Tamada (13th in QL) M

Well, Le mans tonight-great French circuit. Apparently there is 80 percent chance of rain, so if that eventuates; thrills and spills. Hopefully the track wont prove too dangerous in the wet and the riders will get round fine. For the big one, Pedrosa will be hard to beat, but in the rain? I'm tipping the more experienced riders will come to the fore here-the likes of Valentino, Capirossi and Vermeulen. But, as always Stoner and Hayden will be right there too. Best of luck to all of them-but hoping Casey can square it up with Pedrosa this season for a win each on the scoreboard!

Le Mans races were really exciting ones.in motogp once again I was happy to see Rossi to retire. In 250cc my fav would have been able to get Humangest drivers but once again Spanish mentality decided to go inside of Locatelli and yes the result was a bad one. In 125cc Mika said he would have been able to win because it was quite easy to follow Luthi and Bautista who were with slicks against his intermediates. It was so nice to see Luthi back in top fights and Mika in 2nd but still 21 points to Alvaro is quite huge . Anyway next race will be really intresting one.

That was a great race, action all the way through and Pedrosa put up a good fight despite his tyres going. Felt sorry for Rossi after his retirement expecially the shot of him just sat on the bike on the grass at the side of the track

I also felt a little sorry for Rossi-it's just not happening for him this season-maybe it's the "yellow", unlucky.....Nah just kidding, I don't honestly believe that. But, on the up side-nice ride's by Melandri and Capirossi. I was happy that Pedrosa didn't win, he's not my favourite rider, but granted, he also rode a top race. Another consistent result to Stoner; definately getting some great experience. The 250cc class was also excellent-bad news for "loony" lorenzo though; another crash this year. Hopefully next race he'll fare better.

Tonight-the Assen round of MotoGP plays out and it's surely going to be interesting. Not just because the MotoGP race is wide open, but the 250cc and 125cc races promise to be exciting too. Mika Kallio has secured pole for the 125's and will be gunning for the win more than ever in his bid to make up lost ground in the championship. I would be expecting him to ride quite aggressively in Assen, and all reports thus far concur with that. In the 250's "Loony" Lorenzo has gone pole once more and is the one to beat for sure. On this circuit, with only a few super tight corners to battle he'll get out early and try to hold the front I would imagine-as always with Jorge you never quite know what will happen. And the big one-from some of the early reports I have read-Rossi has struggled with an injury (hand) and is down in 18th position on the start grid. It's good to see Melandri and Capirossi back after the debacle last week in Catulunya-fingers crossed they have a safe ride in Assen. John Hopkins has gone pole for the start of the race-a great achievement for him, but I think the winner will come from behind in this one. Look out for Pedrosa and Stoner if they can get through the field quick enough before Hayden and Hopkins take off. And as always, fractured hand or no fractured hand-go 46!!

wow what an amazing last lap to that race - Edwards and Haydon battling it out and repeatedly switching positions then down to the last corner Hayden goes through the gravel and Edwards bails from the bike. fair play to Coin Edwards for getting back on the bike after the crash to be classified as a finisher.

Yeah all races were good and I am writing now as I am still in holiday where isnt any good computer. Oh well. Anyway yeah the battle was cool and now it really starts to look for a championship year of Hayden. He is doing just what he needs to and the title is him. Also in 250cc my fav Lorenzo is back on winning way but still a lot behind to Dovi because of those many falls. in 125cc Kallio needs a miracle to get Bautista but the last race final overtakes were awesome!

Whoa-the Donnington Park round was not at all what I thought it would be. The only non-surprise was Jorge winning again-he's going so well right now. I have to admit, he's a good ambassador for the sport too-the crowd loves him and he has this no fear attitude toward everything-good on him! But the MotoGP race was all over the place. Firstly, Pedrosa having a near fall then coming on again to win the race and, at one point leading the field by over 7 seconds!! And Marco Melandri and Valentino-still injured and plagued by pain throughout the race but still managing to land 2nd and 3rd place? It was quite inspiring to watch that pairing, but Dani Pedrosa winning by that margin-I did not see that coming. And, what about casey? Fourth spot was great considering he went wide at one point and dropped back in the field. He made a pretty good recovery to end the race where he did.

I enjoyed it a lot, watched the 250 and Moto Gp races, but decided not to bother with the 125, sounded like another walkover for Bautista.
I was very impressed by Pedrosa in the Moto GP, a good win, and Rossi showing why he's the best around to get second, a good battle with Melandri.
Low finish for Nicky hayden, he can afford a few of those, and he's probably still favourite, although Rossi's on a charge, broken wrist or not!!!

Yeah, I didn't bother with the 125's this time round either. Bautista just seems to be romping it in. Shame, because i really thought Kallio would take the challenge up to him this season-he did so well last season Anyway, it was definately uncharacteristic for Hayden to fall behind like he did, but as you say, he can afford a couple of minor placings-the guy's been super consistent this season. I think next round is the Sachsenring in Germany-top circuit and can't wait!
