Ive just thought of another advantage of moving the forum. Currently whenever a page loads, it loads full screen, then has to resize the forum. On the new forum this will not need to happen.

For the past few months I have been working on a replica proboards forum similar to this one. Its currently on my test site, however to view it you must login. Therefore Ive created a temporary account for Rallystuff members. First of all login here: www.rallystuff.net/curt/index.aspxUsing this Username/Password: Username: Rallystuff Password: WRC123 Then go to here: www.rallystuff.net/curt/forum.aspxAlternatively you can just register but this will be quicker. Feel free to take a look around, any criticism is welcome .

Looks great, although for the bit where you create a thread or make a reply, are there going to be any smilies? It's a different layout to the typical proboards style, but I or anyone can easily become accustomed to it after a while of using it I suppose.

It does look good. Although I would prefer a reply button at the bottom of the thread as well. INstead of reading all the posts then having to scroll all teh way back p to make a post. Other than that, looks smart

Ive still got to find a way of having smilies entered into a message box without reloading the page. For now Ive just put all the tags here: www.rallystuff.net/curt/general.aspx?action=help#10. I will try and sort that out next. Like Ive said before, Sam is also building V3 so he might know.

Looks great Curt One suggestion, call me pedantic if you will. In the forum threads, because the background is a dark blue-grey, the the black text tends to merge with the background. That isn't a problem here of course, as the pale yellows to the job nicely. Although for small amounts of text it's okay, I would assume the eyes would tire quite quickly, as the eyes would have to work harder in order to pick out the text from the background. It's not a huge issue obviously, but as you know, it's the 1%ers that make all the difference. Made a suggestion for you below: Before:After:

Thanks for the suggestion roo . However V3 will keep the current colours using pale yellows, so like you said I dont think it should be to much of a problem.

The main theme will remain the same as it is now, however a second theme could be something to consider.

Curt, you didn't answer on my request... The chat is too flooded now. I can't orient well there and therefore have to participate only in half of threads!!! How good it was a year or more ago, when we had few sections. But now, if I want to start a peugeot thread, it's not allowed to do in the main section, cause Peugeot isn't in WRC no more... hence, have to think more... Doesn't mean I don't like to think. but I want the forum to be the place to relax, to express your opinion. Like it was in the beginning. But now it turned just to a simple chat... Pity...
