Will I surprise you, LS, if I say, that these cars, only serial, are still being produced in Russia?! And the more surprise is that Lada Vaz 2105 is on 80% Fiat 124...

Ah, but I knew that, I've just logged on or I'd have said something! The earlier Ladas look even more like a Fiat 124, the Zhiguli model (did I spell that right Oversauron? ) looked exactly like one! I really like Ladas as well, there's a 90s one in dark red in my town that I've been drooling over for ages now, dead standard but in great condition! Another nice Russian road car (although it has a motorsports heritage as well, plenty of them rallied) is the Moskvitch 412! Moskys were great rally cars in their day, although there aren't many in the UK anymore, so you don't see many at rallies. I know someone who had at least 12 Soviet saloons, including Lada Rivas and Moskvitches, but he doesn't have any now, now he's got a Citroen BX, and his Soviet cars are probably long gone. A good place for pictures and information about Soviet cars is www.autosoviet.altervista.org , even if it has been years since they last updated!

Thanks ya'll for telling me what kind of car they were! The headlights confused me. And cool site too! I'm gonna read and learn more on these cars! There very nice! ;D Do Soviet cars make good money? I've never heard of some of them before and there aren't any here. I've seen a Peugeot and a Fiat down south, but no Soviet cars.

You know, Niva is objectively the FIRST family serial car in the world with 4WD!!! Before Subaru or Audi Quattro!!! We just didn't patent this!!! I mean didn't make a marketing from this fact like Audi did!

If they patented it, Niva would be BIG! It could have probably be bigger than Jeep or something. Poor Niva. Niva deserves ALL the glory! But the Subies and Audis are still good...

Cool! They would be good for off-road racing! ;D I read some stuff from the history site and its really good! I like the '94 Lada Niva the best! Totally silver! If it had a more powerful engine, it might sell well in the USA.

True that, and GAZ in Russia made a few 4x4 passenger cars based on the M20 Pobeida (again sorry if my spelling's a little off) a long time before the group B era or the Audi Quattro, even if the GAZ 4x4 wasn't really mass produced as far as I can tell. There was even a pickup based on it! It's PobEda. In russian - victory.=)
