I used to have a backyard full of four-leaf clovers. I guess that's not the hit-rate you were angling for with your analogy...
So... who's going to Rally Finland next year? **raises hand**
WOOHOO!!
And who's going to Rally Bulgaria? Might go to that one too... depends on a few things.

Its quite a sure thing that I will be at Rally Finland too despite the fact I hate the new thursday-saturday format where only 2 days are the days of driving and thursdays only stage will say the start order to friday. What comes to Rally Bulgaria I guess its a tarmac event. There most of the roads are like in France if I remember right with a small taste of Italy (old ones) . Im pretty sure it will be a good event. What comes to Kimi nothing aint sure yet. There is so much going on at the news that I dont know whats true. I also somehow doubt the news about Solberg team using Ford´s next year but also running 1 single C4 . Maybe in privateer/national championship that would be possible but in WRC. I guess its out of question. There are so much in the news about WRC.. people just should look out for them .

Hmm, I wonder when we'll hear some news about other manufacturers for the WRC Cup. For now it sounds more like a Ford "fiësta"

Finding info about driver and manufacturer's plans during this down time is just as hard as finding a four leaf clover. You just got to know where to look. Separating fact from fiction, all the rumours, that's the fun bit. That was why I really enjoyed posting the news articles on RS.net as soon as I found out about something. Everyone seems to be hopping onto the Fiesta S2000 Bandwagon. Has one actually competed in a rally yet or is it still in the testing phase? I know Matthew Wilson drove one as zero car on Rally Scotland but that doesn't really count. If not, those drivers must have a lot of faith in a car that has not been proven yet. I'm waiting with anticipation to see what S2000 action will be heading to our region in 2010. With the Fiesta championship very popular in New Zealand, I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of S2000 Fiestas pop up in the Asia Pacific region soon. Despite the fact there are only two manufacturers in the WRC, the world of rallying seems to be picking up with plenty of interest. And Vivski, I'm major jealous. Finland! Nice work.

Remember we've had a couple of Fiesta's in the ARC. Windus and Guest had theirs build/run by Britek, IIRC. They looked too short and narrow... they switched ends way too quickly. Mixa, I need you to be my eyes and ears in Finland. If you hear about any changes to the dates, please give me a yell as I'll need to sort out dates. If it moves, I could be up s*** creek. Bulgaria... I've got absolutely no idea. But I'm going to be in Europe so it's an option... so is going to the capital city of whichever country's in World Cup Final against Australia.

I've read in this week's Autosport that Mikko Hirvonen would like to contest the 2010 Monte with a new S2000 Fiesta. Malcolm Wilson says that if it's on the calendar for the '11 WRC then he should be allowed to.

The Citroen S2000 car sounds a bit weird. Citroen have committed to the current WRC for next year, but there has been nothing concrete confirmed after that. And although there is a lot of interest in S2000, FIA confirmed a few months ago that the new WRC formula will be 1.6 L Turbo charged, so I don't think a "Citroen S2000 WRC" will happen. Ah, and finally, the giveaway: the article was written back in March, before the FIA announced the new WRC formula back in June. The Suzuki article appears promising. There was news just before the last Rally New Zealand (2008) that Suzuki were thinking of building a S2000. Hopefully the plan is still happening despite the financial crisis and the WRC pull-out. Good news if Urmo Aava is hearing the right things from Suzuki, although again, was a while ago. But s2000rally.com, now that is a good site. Interesting to see just how many Fabia's are kicking around now considering the car hasn't been around all that long.

It is highly possible for Petter to remain with the C4, but running as PSWRT again. And Kimi will run as part of Citro's Junior team. I'm just glad that Petter stays with the C4, he has been doing better; just a shame that it wont be a manufacturer's team. Now I hope he can get the remaining 30% of his budget. I think that tipping will be difficult this year, with all of these S2000 entries. Flip

Yeah.. it didnt.. Grönholm and Therman will run at Team Therminator but just Sweden if Im right. Grönholm recently has been running on Subaru so somehow seeing him in Ford will be nice again and specially at the older model. It will be interesting to see what he can do with it.
Also yeah to Viv, Neste Rally will run from thursday to Saturday as I said earlier... to stages nothing aint sure yet but there are probably some legendary ones back.

Do we have our usual list confirmed/rumour driver line-up for this season?
There are plenty of rumours flying around. If I see Loeb, Hirvonen, Atkinson, Petter & Gronholm in Finland, I'll be happy. Kimi would be a bonus.
There are some videos of Petter Solberg in GB 2009 which are pretty awesome.
