Well I'm delighted with my first points of the season, and to come 2nd was fantastic. The car felt good all along, especially on the Pikes peak stage.
I'd like to thank the team for the great job they did this weekend, say unlucky to Mixa for the roll and congratulations to Igor on the first points for lada.

Grenville, take the Opel and start to run Opel Manta 400 . In the past Opel Manta 400 was a really popular car specially in the GB area. Some drivers and members to mention who drove the Manta 400: Russell Brookes,Jimmy McRae,Pentti Airikkala,Glyn Jones(taken to my British rally DVD and unfortunately dont remember more of them),Rauno Aaltonen,Ari Vatanen,Henri Toivonen,Austin McHale,Achim Warmbold,Guy Frequelin and even Colin McRae to mention a few of them

Sorry about the delay guys! I have moved to an apartment and don't have internet access there so my school is the only place I can use the internet. So I will put up the next rally on Sunday the 20th!

*DAY 1* Rally GB started off with the usual downpour of rain. The stages were drenched which made it very interesting for some of the drivers. Curt had the misfortune of taking gravel tyres which cost him dearly. He ended the day in last place. James also made the same mistake as he finished a second ahead of the Peugeot. Strangely it was the Aussie Vivski who made the best prediction of the English weather. He took a mud tyre with cuts and finished the day in joint 1st place alongside fellow Australian Tumbo. *DAY 2* Though Day 2 of the RAC was rain free, the stages were still strewn with water from the previous day. 1st on the road was Tumbo. Though he set a respectable time it was his teammate FTRS who won the stage and moved up to 1st place alongside his teammate. A great battle was in prospect for the Ford Team. Lada's new signing Hurricane proved that he has what it takes to compete with the top rally stars. He finished the stage with the second fastest time. Mixa's rally was going from bad to worse. With only 10km to go his engine started overheating and he tumbled down the leader board. Over the team radio Mixa was heard asking "Should I retire?" but the team said "NO!" *DAY 3* At the beginning of the day we had 2 rally leaders! Tumbo and FTRS. The Ford team sensing that a fight could be dangerous ordered FTRS to slow down. A decision the young Aussie was not to happy about! That didn't stop Toyota's Mitch though as he took the fight to the drivers and earned himself 6 points. Husain had been another driver who stayed out of trouble and managed to bring home 8 points for the Porsche team. His championship gaining some real momentum. Lancia was a team that would want to forget the RAC as both cars held the last two spots. Worrying times for Lancia. Audi is also another team that may have to rethink their strategy, as they failed to score any points. It was Tumbo though who showed how the Welsh roads should be driven. His 1st win of the season is a real boost to his championship chances. Join us again for Rally Portugal!

I am thrilled to bits about Tumbo's victory, the team really needed a good result. Bit of a shame that I couldn't get 2nd, but that's the way things go I suppose. Hopefully I can better my result in Portugal

Team 6R4 Press Release:
After constant dissapointing results so far this season MG's driver (Matt) has opted to miss the next event in Portugal. This is due to the team plan to test some new parts to hopefully increase the perfomance output of the engine aswell as some new changes handling wise.

well what an amzing rally- the rally GB is my favourite event of the year; beautiful muddy stages and flowing turns its the real man's finland The rs200 suited the conditions perfectly and really did have the competition within sights thanks for minor updates after sweden. While a 1-2 would have been nice for the team to have both cars in the points and move ourselves up on the manufacturers ladder was brilliant. Thanks to all the mechanics and crew who helped make this win possible!

"After a lot of testing between rally USA and rally UK, I learned very much. The Lada is pretty different than other cars I've already driven, but I'm sure it's not a car that needs to be the underdog to the others. We proved this in rally USA where Igor won the rally and again this rally where I've passed the podium in 7th position. I'm really happy with my first points, this way I can prepare myself for the big thing next season! Still the team needs to do much development to get even better results! But not only the team will improve, me myself will do more and more testing to get my feeling in the car to the top. I'm sure Lada Samara World Rally Team will get better and better, and eventually take the win in the manufacturer championship!"

My apologies to everyone. I have not forgotten about the championship. School has started and I am still having trouble finding a consistant internet connection. I am working on the next round. Only difference is that I will have to lose the cool backrounds as they take too much time. appreciate you patience!

its totally ok! Actually loosing the backround is a backstep but covers well the B.gr championship. Those days drivers didnt knew other driver splits and mainly heard the results just in service or to reporters.
