Not sure what is happening to Citroen. They had a great start but haven't scored points in that last couple of rallies. I am happy with Peugeot's consitancy so far, we need a couple more wins though if we are hoping to pull away.

Its time for the toughest gravel ordeal of the season. Round 6, Rally Cyprus. Congratulations to Sauron for a great win in Cyprus and the first of the season! Many retirements in the rally have really affected the standings. Ford has been looking good but this unfortunetly will be a major set back as they have dropped 2 places to 3rd. Peugeot and Sauron now take the lead. Matrix is still unconfirmed for Turkey as he is still having double vision from his crash into privateer Mikko Hirvonen. Electronic problems saw 205 Gti retire and an engine problem led to FordTRS's retirement.

Congrats Sauron. And well done to Subaru for a well deserved 2-3.
I was gunning for a better finish, but slowed in the 2nd stage when I passed my teammate's crash to make sure Matrix was okay.
Looks like Peugeot and Subaru are pulling away.

Very unhappy with this result We had high hopes coming in to this rally, with the extra pressure of leading the championship also. Unfortunately, we expected an even stronger showing with a new specification Cosworth engine for this rally to cope with the dust and heat but somehow dust managed to clog up the engine and eventually killed it. We're still deciding whether to use the older spec engine for Turkey or press on with the next gen engine. We'll be working with Cosworth to find a solution to ensure a repeat does not occur. Championship wise, I'm only 1 point behind Sauron so it hasn't hurt us a great deal. But unfortunately we're 3rd in the manufacturers table from 1st, but the gap isn't all that great thankfully. I am hoping for a strong showing, along with my team-mate, in Turkey!

So far we are really happy with Peugeot's pace. Its tough competition with so many manufacturers this season. The goal is just consistant points scoring.

From Cyprus we make our way to Antalya, Turkey. Congratulations to Vivski for his 2nd win of the season! The Swift is proving to be a very competitive car on its deubt season in the RFC. The drivers points are starting to spread out as MattWRC is in the lead by 3 points, but the top 3 manufactuers are only seperated by 1 point . Ford have stated that they are quite dissapointed with their cars performance after such a great start. Also its good to see Mitsubishi back on the podium after some poor showings in the recent rallies.

Fantastic!! That was a great rally. I almost backed off too much in the last stage, but just managed to hold on!! The Suzuki is a weapon this season! I'm not sure how good it will be on tarmac, but out gravel package is very competetive. I hope Matrix can recover from those injuries suffered in Cyprus and notch up another win for the team next rally. By the looks of that last stage time from Matrix, we're in good shape.

I lacked confidence with the car after the retirement in the last rally, we continued with the next gen Cosworth engine in Turkey but that only played a small part with why our cars, mine in particular, were so slow. It was just the general setup of the car where I feel it let me down.
We have elected to send the cars that we used in Turkey and Cyprus back for further analysis, and we'll be using the cars that we used in New Zealand, with some make-go-fast parts. And the older spec Cosworth engine...
