You probably all know this by now, but just heard on a news headline that Williams will not be continuing with Webber in their line up for next season. I wanted to find out a bit more, and I have listed a link below confirming the split. Although Mark Webber isn't at the top of my "favourite" driver list, I was a little surprised at this announcement and was even more astonished that it was made with like six events to go this season. Makes you wonder just what was said behind closed doors there; and if indeed Mark will reflect on this like Frank Williams will..... I hope that isn't a bad thing for Mark where he ends up without a drive at all next year, which would be a joke considering that there are some woeful drivers who have long term contracts with great teams. I hope this signals a move to Renault but there's so many ifs and buts with seats. I really hope this is for the best

Renault I believe, are seriously considering him, however, it's only a rumour I heard-nothing as yet has been confirmed. There must be underlying circumstances that have bought this turn of events on, but all the same, Mark needs to turn this into a positive. I can imagine it would be something that could beat him down if he doesn't rise above it. For his sake I hope the future is brighter.

Surely it was a carefully planned move by both parties, Flavio Briatore (his manager and team boss of Renault) would be furious if Webber wasn't in a competitive seat as he rates Webber very high. The only odd place is whether Raikkonen will still move to Renault, and if he doesn't, will the also Briatore managed and rated Heikki Kovalainen get the seat (especially as Briatore promised the Finn he will get a ride in 2007). Webber will whoop Fisichella if he goes to Renault

You cant blame Mark for wanting to leave (if it was his choice) as he has been on for some great results this year then the car has let go
Wonder if their could be a possibility of him going to Toyota - both teams have an engine deal next year i think

Sadly, Jarno Trulli and Ralf Schumacher have a concrete set contract. Why, oh why do Toyota want to fail?

I heard something about Red Bull too??? Nothing confirmed there either but the nightly news report mentioned it. Everything will no doubt come to light soon I'd expect.

Webber does have 4 candidates. -Renault is the most likely providing he grabs the offer -Red Bull is quite likely as Christian Klien is unlikely to stay in F1 and Liuzzi will probably stay at Toro Rosso -McLaren is a long shot but still a shot nonetheless -BMW is a possibility but only if Webber cannot go anywhere else
It would be highly ironic for Webber to go to Red Bull considering he left the team under the guise of Jaguar for better things at Williams, sadly that wasn't the case

Jarno is a great driver and I believe he's better than Webber. Damn Briatore... Jarno could have become a champion last year, instead of Alonso, had he stayed at renault...

Trulli can be absolutely brilliant when he's on a good day, he was fantastic in Monaco 2004. He had a great start to 2005 with the odd podium and high qualifying result, but he hasn't been terribly quick since then. He's picked up speed lately but Alonso did outpace him when he was at Renault. Watching him in a few races, he looks very easy to overtake, just leaves the door wide open. I think Trulli had his chance at Toyota and it didn't work out. I still rate him MUCH higher than Ralf Schumacher though

With Trulli he really needs to do well in qualifying or few accidents to do well in most cases

One of the reasons Briatore got rid of Trulli were his better performance than Alonso'...

Yes!!! This is a good move by Mark. An Adrian Newey designed RB3, possible Renault engines. I really hope he has a great season, especially at the Australian GP hint hint
