Oh what a surprise! Audi wins again But what an achievement by Audi by becoming the first diesel powered car to win Le Mans, just imagine what they could do in F1. But an exceptional effort by Loeb, Montagny and Helary to finish 2nd

Actually yes Audi´s performance was great and them got a great diesel car finished in couple years. Also I didnt keeped it as a surprise as Audi was the factory team once again with really good drivers.
Yes Audi´s domination has been impressive in last years but I think them wouldnt have even half of the wins if after the race of 99 when LM-GTP cars rules was changed and so many top manufacturers was forced to leave as some of those manufacturers said and didnt wanted to be poor in Le Mans. Then the rules was almost switched back but them didnt were intrested anymore. Then Bentley done an LM-GTP return and showed it would be possible to win with it but still none else didnt camed to that class. Something to LM-GTP cars shows that still Toyota owns the top speed record in current version but we cant make lap time comparision as in 00 camed the chicanes after dunlop chicane. lap record is at Audi R8 but if we compare it to GT-One then its only couple thousands behind so I believe LM-GTP Toyota,Mercedes or some car like that would own the lap record.
and I even fall that theory of Audi doing well in F1 as we can see where top sporscar manufacturers of its age like Toyota and BMW are in F1.
Still yes coming back to facts Audi is the sporscar world king at the moment and when them quits them will still be the legends.

Nice job Audi. And nice job Loeb and Sarrazin. Audi's dominance at LeMans is rather frightening.

Nice job Audi. Audi's dominance at LeMans is rather frightening. But enjoyable at the same time if you like Audi's!
