I personally think this is a waste of time and money. Prodrive need to concentrate on getting their rally program to the top again. The F1 field is far to competative for the likes of them. With Ferrari, Honda, Renault and McLaren there is no way they can be competative against that lot. I guess it all depends on the money and drivers they get, with DR's contacts though, I'm sure the sponsorship deal will be big and the drivers good as well! Hopefully DR will showcase some more English talent on the F1 grid!

Here's an interesting article I spotted that pretty much confirms our belief that David Lapworth is heading up Prodrive's F1 programme
"The first meeting of the FIA's new sporting working group took place on Wednesday in Barcelona with the meeting involving Charlie Whiting and representatives from the various teams. According to our sources those present included Stefano Domenicali (Ferrari), Davey Ryan (McLaren), Richard Cregan (Toyota), Steve Nielsen (Renault), Tim Newton (Williams), Beat Zehnder (BMW Sauber), Ron Meadows (Honda), Jonathan Wheatley (Red Bull Racing), Andrew Stevenson (MF1), Mick Ainsley-Cowlishaw (Super Aguri), Massimo Rivola (Scuderia Toro Rosso) and David Lapworth of Prodrive..."
