maybe you could post some news on the web gren? You are always up to date with things!
I like the idea of members showing of there rally cars on here and there stories/events. It's always great to know how you guys are going. For instance we can have the James, Nick, Gren, Curt, Mixa (anyone i missed?) diaries on how there cars are going.
I am able to run a aussie section if need be with anyone else

When V3 is released I also plan to make some layout changes to the forum. I mentioned this in a previous post in this thread. The plan is to change the Rallying Category to something like this: RallyingWorld Rally Championship Junior/Production WRC British & Irish Rallying Other European Rallying Australian Rallying Other For these sections to be created though I will need moderators who are particularly interested in their specific section who can post up discussion threads on the BRC or ARC etc. What are your thoughts on this?

That sounds good. As we talk or focus very little on European rallying (mainly due to lack of coverage) perhaps that should go with the "Other Rallying" section.
Maybe we could have a Rally Raid section, or do you view this to come under "Other"?

You have a good point about the 'Other European' section. If enough threads are made in the future 'Other Rallying' section then I will create a new section when V3 is already released. Maybe we could have a Rally Raid section, or do you view this to come under "Other"? This sounds like a good idea to me. As long as there is a member who has a high interest in that section and would be willing to moderate it then thats fine by me.

I am interested in Rally Raid a bit. It is a good sport and is a form of rallying and a big test to the cars. I like the idea of having this.
I reckon I might be able to do Australian/New Zealand section.
Dingardo would you do NZ news?

Just thought I would post an update of whats happening. V3 has started construction. However don't get excited as this is going to be quite a big site so it won't be finished any time soon. But its a start . Since there will be another membership system on the site completly different to the one on the forum, which will have some of the same features (Personal messages etc) I am considering the idea of moving the forum to the website itself. However I'm not certain this is a very good idea as 14,000+ posts will no longer be on the forum, as well as some features.

i'm not sure about moving the forum either. I don't really mind but we do have a lot to lose. Maybe a bigger section for RFC maybe?

I think it's proably best to keep the website and forum seperate as if one of the two crashes then we still have the other one (be it the forum or site) online and less work for Curt to get back online (I should think, I'm not a PC expert!)

If the forum was moved to the website it wouldn't make any difference to how long the site would be back online, because any crash would be to do with the hosting company. I think Nick has a good point that in the long run and this forum could still be online as an archive, but as Mitch has pointed out we will lose a lot of posts. I didn't fully understand what you mean about the RFC. Do you mean create a bigger section on the current forum or on the custom built one?
I'm still not certain whether this will go ahead though but I do think it would finish the site off and make it easier to use. Rallye-Info.com also use a fully customised forum, and IMHO this one will be much better if it goes ahead.

I would like to have RFC in a seperate category (since I'm not competing in it, it pretty much irritates me to see if there are any new posts on the WRC section)
